We escaped the city for 1 night of luxury. Service and the room and setting were great.
Dinner could have been better. There should have been another one or two choices on the menu because the two main courses on offer might not be to everyone's taste.
Breakfast and high tea were great

Having spent 5 nights at Bartholomeus Klip, we found that it exceeded all our expectations. It is difficult to describe a luxury guest house on a farm which, at the same time as offering safaris twice a day, offers 5 star comfort and level of service. To make it even more attractive, the food is imaginative and plentiful. The brunch buffet is exceptional, high tea is generous and dinner is a gourmet meal. Every member of staff is extremely attentive with great attention to details from the ponchos provided for the safari to flowers, biscuits and drinks provided in the bedroom. We look forward to experiencing it all again soon.

Room Tip: The 5 rooms are all very nice however the suite with its own terrace has more privacy and it also overlooks the reserve.

This was our seventh visit and everything is still perfect. Food was excellent, location spotless, animals interesting and the rest perfect. We have rebooked for 2012 and are looking forward to the sundowners on the terrace after the game ride. This is a dream place run by a dream team.
This time we saw lots of baboons coming down to the reservoir and we had fun chasing flocks of birds from the island with our boat. They didn't take much notice as they flew back again in a few minutes - but it kept us amused. And we have a collection of photos of African sunsets - they made even my photography look good!

Room Tip: They are all good.

Having taken a taxi from cape town airport we were warmly welcomed on the front porch by the wonderful staff in B klip. Its only after a gourmet breakfast and out on the game drive that you realy discover the majesty of the place. The estate is huge 10,000 acres and varies from mountain to protected flora and bush plain. The lady guide is interesting polite and very helpful . The rooms in this beautifully furnished edwardian house are impeccably maintained. The food is realy outstanding as we were the only guests one night a private dining room was set up which was a lovely treat. B klip with its huge acerage is about the little things the fresh flowers in your room the fresh home made biscuits presented when you leave, the friendly family dog who follows you when you go cycling and the most wonderful personable staff imaginable. Yes heaven in Hermon.
