This is a genuine safari lodge with excellent service. The chalets are spacious and ideal, 1 progblem though, the grasses and trees are not well maintained. I also recommend that mosquito insecticides be provided as the area is a malaria prone area. Overall, the lodge is very good!

I enjoyed my stay at Kwalape Safari Lodge, it was raining when I arrived and I decided to stay in their safari tents. because of the rain the beds were damp. So i particularly didn't enjoy my first night. The next night I upgraded to a chalet and it was well decorated and worth it. The restaurant is a bit limited in choices but the food was very good. Good place to stay in my opinion. the service is nice and personal as well.

This was the most disappointing place we stayed at in 3 weeks across Namibia, Botswana and Zambia. We stayed in the chalets (no.6 I believe). To start, there were small tears in the fabric of the tent, which seemed like it was a decade old at least and it smelled of sour cabbage. There was a 5 inch gap around the top of the shower where the tent and frame had pulled away. Coupled with the tall grass/weeds and the standing water features made it a mosquito haven. The beds were not very comfortable and had a plastic sheet over the mattress which was a bit odd. We were also told that breakfast wasn't included in the room when we had pre-paid for B&B. Possibly the strangest thing was that the the lodge offered certain amenities only found at high-end places, such as a safe and TV, yet, in our opinion, could not get the basics right. The whole place had a cheap, budget holiday camp feel to it.

Maybe we were just unlucky and were given a shoddy, run-down, foul-smelling chalet. Maybe there are nicer rooms there than chalet no.6. We don't' know. Since changing rooms wasn't an option, we decided to forgo the 2nd night in favour of a much nicer and more tranquil place. Personally, if someone is looking for a little bit more than budget basic, I'd give this place a pass.

Room Tip: Chalet 6 was terrible. Large gaps mean more mosquitos.

Warm welcomed. friendly helpful staff, food disappointing, not good at all. We ordered rump steak and were given sinewy tough beef and ended up not eating. Rooms great, clean and comfy. loved the surroundings.

I have stayed at kwalape lodge two times this year and was happy with the stay. Its a good budget lodge. Although a bit didsppointed with traditional dance which we didnt Get to see. The stuff is good at helping guests but sometimes it seems they have to consult someone else before giving final answer which takes time..others we were happy about out stay.
