The lodge is set on a hill with a spectacular view over the plains with a waterhole which has a constant stream of wildlife coming for a drink. The main lodge is stunning. It is open and spacious and has lots of little areas where you can sit and enjoy the view. Our hosts Abram and Nanette were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble - one of our party had broken her camera and Nanette very kindly lent us her camera for the duration of our stay. Being an Eco lodge there was no electricity in the tents but there was a charging station available to ensure our camera batteries were always fully charged and the solar energy provided lovely hot water for the shower. One touch I particularly liked was that when we returned to our tents after dinner we were given a flask of hot water which meant we could have a hot cup do coffee as soon as we woke up in the morning - a necessity in my household! The location of the lodge means that it takes around 40 minutes to get to areas where you will see significant amounts of game. That being said when you get there it is amazing. The full day game drive with a picnic lunch at the Savuti Marsh was a definite highlight of the trip. Also a very well positioned and comfortable "hide" by the Lodge...More
