I went with a party of 10 people and everyone loved it. The tureen of soup was delicious, and every meal was good, hearty, and homemade. Our waitress was prompt and all food was served hot. The decor is rather outdated, but that's not important to me... what IS important is the obvious effort that they put into serving wonderful meals. I've been here a few times over the years and always look forward to going back.

The Spa Brauhaus has been a fixture for many years. We have eaten there many times, sometimes reuniting with family, and usually as a couple.
The food has been consistently excellent, particulary their Weiner Schnitzel, Sauerbraten and roast pork loin. All entrees are accompanied by a very nice salad with house dressing, a loaf of hot bread and a soup tureen with the soup of the day. The entrees are served with choice of potato or Spaetzel and vegetable. Whenever we go we are always served by Anna Marie who is right on top of her customers' needs.
Yes...it could use a face lift, but "she" still is a warm and cozy place to share a great meal.

We have been going to this restaurant for over 25 years and previous reviewers do have some valid points and some totally invalid! The good first - the food is outstanding, service is excellent and value for your money above most. The entrees do come with soup, salad, homebaked bread and 2 side dishes. In the past, everything was homemade but, like so many other family owned restaurants, have fallen upon hard times. The owners may be forced to sell if things don't turn around soon so if you enjoy true German food you need to eat there or we may lose it forever! Why not New Year's Eve - quiet, good food for the money and great bar to have a cocktail and welcome in 2014!

(We need to get Robert Irvine to give them another look - definitely worth a save compared to the now defunct restaurant they chose over them!)

We dined mid afternoon. The food was fresh and hot. My husband especially enjoyed the potato pancakes.
He has not had them for awhile and was looking forward to it. My Parents enjoyed the food. My Dad is of German descent and had been wanting to go there. So we took them there for his birthday. The atmosphere may be dated but I like places that are a little different.

This is an old world style restaurant, best suited to families. The atmosphere inside is kitchy, with a nod to traditional German ambience, including music. The food is consistently good, and an excellent value. Entrees include soup, salad, bread, and two sides. The Sauerbraten is highly recommended - if you love German food, you will fall in love with this entree. Great German beers available too.
