The location is indeed a bit off the beaten path. The main building has been essentially unaltered for 500 years or so. The timbers to build it apparently came from old seafaring ships.
This is really a working farm, so be prepared for some activity. We saw farmers working the sheep, hay being harvested, neighbors bringing by fresh sausage, and the everyday antics of the dogs and horses.
I cannot think of a time i have felt closer to nature and more "real".
I hope the fast pace of the modern world does not run roughshod over this little place.
