we met some friends here for dinner tonight and had a great time. A lovely cosy pub, really friendly staff and delicious food. We were chatting and therefore were not ready to order when the waitress arrived. Her response " hey, it's Saturday night, why should you rush? take all the time in the world!" How refreshing!!
we will be back

We found this spot whilst dawdling around the countryside. It's a real gem, serving really well prepared fresh food (with ingredients from the garden no less), and well kept beer. The service was first rate - friendly without being overbearing, and the bill was....... well, all I can say is that this place is fantastic value. We will be going back. Guaranteed.

Now I have to admit that I live 5 mins from the Seven Stars so I might be biased but Steph and the team do a fabulous job and have taken care of us brilliantly over the last year. They've been making some refurbishments that are looking fabulous and a new chef is really settling in nicely with some great refinements to the menu especially for summer! Keep up the good work it's so lovely having such a great place to go on your doorstep.

Well, what can I say - the most delicious Mini steak tartare with melba toast for starters, (not many restaurants in the UK have that on the menu) followed by a perfectly cooked Entrecote steak with frites & béarnaise sauce, and a lovely cheese board to complete the meal.
Entire restaurant decorated in red, white & blue, Edith Piaf signing in the background. What a great night, well worth delaying my trip away by one day to have enjoyed this. Roll on the next 'special'

Had a great pub lunch. The staff were very friendly and the food was a cut above most pubs. Recently refurbished in a pretty location.
