We pre-booked 30 rooms in February and our group person had several communications since, and recent. We show up with 2 bus load of people and bow, on request, to a wedding party getting out of our rooms late. After, even tho' they have a list of our parties, the desk says they can't book us in as the manager has the code. He's unavailale. He doesn't have he balls to tell us that he double booked he hotel. We are a drum corps and had to be dressed and ready by 5:30. We had to dress in the parking lot after standing around for hours. After the show, the manager still hadn't shown up and we were scurrying for rooms. Some of the people made the 'list' so obviously they had the whole list. People of up to 60+ years were forced to sleep on floors. Thank goodness that the local National Hotel filled in, and even then there was 8 to a room, four on the floor. I've never been so grossly misstreated by a lying hotel management system in my life. Microtel should be boycotted for terribly poor service. They don't care. Their hotel was full for the night, so they got paid. What a Canadian adventure to drive 7 hours to receive U.S. treatment like this. Thanks, Val Courneyea

Room Tip: Manager and front clerk both lied. Do not stay here.

I was part of a group of over 80 people, average age of 50+, who had ridden 7 hours on buses, spent an hour and a half in the hot sun marching around a football field who arrived at "our" motel around 3:30pm to find out that the rooms weren't ready!! This has happened before, so we weren't too concerned, but did find it strange that "none" of the rooms were ready. All we wanted was a place to have a shower and relax, before we had to leave again at 5:30. The lobby was very small, not much seating - definitely not enough for our group, so many people had to stand around outside. The single bathroom in the lobby could definitely not handle that many people. The manager could not be contacted by the desk staff and we finally had to change to leave - some in the lobby, some in rooms that others had used the night before, and many more in the parking lot or on the buses. We arrived back at the hotel around 9:30 to find out we still had no rooms!! Since our group, and many others like us make several trips each summer to places away from home have never encountered such a situation before, you can be sure we will never book with this "chain" again. Also, since we are part of a much larger organization, you can be sure other groups will hear about our experience and not take a chance booking with this chain. I might add, that our reservations were made months in advance, confirmed by ONE credit card, so there really is no excuse for such a situation to have happened

Room Tip: Cannot really comment on the facilities since we didn't even get to see anything but the small lobby!

Our room also had bugs as mentioned by previous reviewers. Dead and alive. Pill bugs crawling up the walls and spiders scattered around the room. Dead bugs in the tub and on the bathroom floor. The carpet also looked as if it had not been vacuumed. This is the same handicap room that a previous reviewer had stayed in only a couple of nights before.
That was only minor compared to the very poor service we received from the management.
We were part of a very large group that had reserved MANY rooms for this weekend. Some of us arrived Friday and got our rooms but the two bus loads that arrived Saturday afternoon after 7 hours on the road were told the rooms weren't ready yet. Then after waiting in the lobby with all their luggage, were told there were not rooms for us. But on the Friday afternoon they told us they were expecting the buses on Sat.(where did those rooms go in the period of not being ready to not being any) The girls on the front desk were coping as well as possible and this is no fault of theirs. Calls to the hotel manager produced nothing. No help what so ever. Never again will we use any Microtel and as the word spreads through our very large organization, other groups will also avoid the use of this chain.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was between average and good...The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms seemed clean but they had these awfull lighting - like in a surgery room, so bright...Also the walls were stained, which was pointed out extra by the strong lights. Other than the walls in our room, the bathroom and the hotel lobby looked very clean and well maintained, as well did the parking lot and entrance.
Breakfast was OK, not much choice but there was always enough.
The room was pretty large and the beds were very comfortable. There were a few fastfood restaurants in the area, there is a Pizza Hut right across and a Dunkin'Donuts next door.

we made reservations in advance as we were moving from another state and needed a pet friendly place. The hotel was clean, and relatively new. The rooms were modern and clean and welcoming. We got in late a night and we felt safe even leaving the trailer full of our stuff. A bit harder to find once off highway but great place overall.
