We weekend in Woodstock and this is one of our go-to places for good food. Its a comfortable restaurant, nothing fancy - but great views of the stream. It's pretty good Chinese food - it can be hard to find good Chinese in NY (even the city, outside of Chinatown, of course.) The menu is extensive - eggrolls always good, Hunan and General Tso's as well. The waitstaff is always courteous and friendly - and very fast - there can be a small language barrier. The pick-up food service is usually spot on as well (I think we've had one messed up order out of several.) We also really like the 'quaint' upstate bar - friendly bartender and usually an interesting local/regulars crowd.
We were surprised by the recent poorer reviews - we vastly prefer Little Bear to the much more expensive and overrated Bear Cafe next door - for both food and service.
