This is an amazing place. Beautiful furniture and very clean. The bathroom is nice too. Barry and Jose are nice hosts. And the best is the boat ride to get there. I would have never pictured myself giving a place a 5 rating with no cell reception, no if I and shared baths. But that is the wonderful thing about the lodge.

We spent two nights at Beaver River Lodge recently and had a great time. We went with friends and it was the perfect get away. It felt like being at a best friends camp. It was clean, comfortable with new beds, great bedding and very good food.. The hosts were exceptional, a good reason to go back. We will be making that trip again. JoAnn and Mark

Snowmobiled in. Stayed 3 nights. Great place. Rooms were comfortable. Very accommodating. The lodge is right in the center of all of the trails. You wake up to a great breakfast every morning. No roads to this place. Snowmobile or boat in.

Excellent place to get away from it all! Very clean with with just enough rustic feel. Love the old school decor and drinking coffee on the porch. Already have the summer dates booked for next year and hope to make it up in the winter for some snowshoeing...
The owners are the best! What are you waiting for? ;0)

Spent two nights in Beaver River at the Lodge and the hosts were excellent! Food was well above 'average', and they really try to make you feel at home and comfortable. Brand new beds and bedding, sparkling clean bathrooms, and hosts who try and cater to anything you might be interested in. They have kayaks, they know hiking trails, and overall, provide a really great way to relax and get back in touch with nature.
Things to know about the Lodge:
you can only get there by boat.... so you need to secure your own transportation to the lodge. The owners can provide you with options.
There are about 12 guest rooms, and there are two bathrooms which are shared. I never experienced a problem, however, it should be noted.
Breakfast is complimentary, while lunch and dinner are offered off a limited but yummy menu.
There is bar service every night, and they offer a fairly large selection of craft beers as well as wine and a smashingly good liquor selection.
BUGS will eat you alive. Bring bug spray and a hat for all outings over five minutes long.
They have a large selection of books, board games and cards, but there is NO TV. You are experiencing nature after all.
They run on generation power with battery back up. Ladies, this is nature...leave your blow dryer and curling and straightening irons at home! (you CAN use them, but why? throw a hat on and you will be better off)
There is NO CELL SERVICE beyond Old Forge or Lowville. Make your calls before you leave these areas.
HAVE A FABULOUS TIME!

Room Tip: rooms towards the front of the hotel seem to be farther away from the bar area if you retire early t...

This is the best place to get away from the distractions of everyday life. Peace and quiet, rustic charm, delightful owners, what more could you want? We can't wait to go back. We traveled here during snowmobile season and can not wait to return in the summer. We had our children with us and they had a fantastic time as well.

Great food and fantastic hosts! Beaver River has a lot to offer to nature enthusiasts! There is great fishing along with beautiful scenery in a very remote setting. Vacationing in Beaver River is an adventure! The only way to get to the Beaver River Lodge is by parking at the Stillwater Reservoir lot and taking a boat ride across the reservoir! The scenery and the adventure create life long memories for all who take the trip!
