We loved our trip here. The location is beautiful and the staff was great!!! Made fires, grilled out, and played songs by the fire, all around a wonderful experience. Exactly what we were looking for.

My husband and I went here for 3/4 days in 2nd week of April to "Get Away." We has the whole place to ourselves!! Sheri and Mike (and baby Michael) stayed in contact with us throughout the time we made the reservations to the moment we drove away...making sure all our needs were met. They are a very down to earth friendly family, and that's what we felt like when we arrived...."part of the family" the two of us stayed in a simple yet perfectly modernized cabin. we made a HUGE fire outside every night (with as much firewood as we could burn up!!!) And slept in the coziest bed in what we called deafening silence... we didn't even pack a radio because we just wanted to be completely dissociated from civilization..we Loved every minute of our stay here!!!! I stayed at cabin #6 at Cold Spring Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The cabin was cute and isolated so it was quite romantic. It was also close to lots of places to hike. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

My band mates and I needed a place to stay while playing a wedding down the road at The Full Moon. This place was perfect. Quiet, clean and comfortable. We were able to rehearse in the cabin without bothering our neighbors. If you are a musician playing a gig in the area. This is the place to stay.

We have been here 3 times in the last 5 years and have seen it change for the better. It is very clean, and the owners have always been very kind and welcoming. The ski is a short drive away. Only down part is wifi is not very good and the lack of telephone/s. Regardless its one of my favorite cabin sites.

We stayed on a family tour in June 2012. The place is quiet, green and in the woods. We could see wild fawns when driving up from Phoenica to Cold Springs Lodge. The owner was not there when we arrived, yet we enjoyed sun and nature. Everything was open so we could walk in the lobby cabin and gave him a call. When he arrived was very cheerful and for extra 10 bucks got the best cabin, much bigger than the one we had reserved. We had therefore separate rooms, a huge living room and a bathroom. Downside: coming from Europe we have normally higher expectation on color matching of blinds - towel - sheets and here it seemed that everything was borrowed second hand.Room and sink were not super clean. In one of the rooms the floor was significantly inclined. Owner explained that was the consequence of a flood in April. The lawn and the pool were clean and perfectly maintained and we enjoyed it. a BBQ is also available. In general would say it is perfect for a weekend, would not recommend for a longer family vacation until some remodelling.

Do it. Go. Book it. You're thinking: it looks cool, and the price is right...but is it spidery? Is it old and full of bugs and sketchy? Nope. It's clean. And cozy. And awesome. So the tvs aren't HD. So what. They will be eventually. There's cable and dvd and wifi if you wanna watch tv. But you don't. You're going to have an adventure filled day, then shower, then go eat delicious food at some dope little restaraunt. Maybe enjoy several crafty freezing cold beers. Then you're gonna kick it firerside in/at the cabin. And stargaze. Give yourself a reason to fire up that starfinder app. Maybe let the dog run around. Then you're gonna sleep like a brick in a clean comfy bed. Breakfast at Sweet Sue's or Mama's Boy. You're going to remark over coffee that the Catskills are so close and easy to get to. And beautiful. You'll declare with renewed fervor that when you get home you're going to make it a point to plan stuff like this more often. You know, get everyone together for a weekend up here. You wonder if you're visiting on the precipice of a Catskill Renaissance. You are. And Cold Spring Lodge is ready for it. Are you? Adventure filled days and star-filled nights, Cold Spring Lodge is hella tight!
(I also posted this review on google+, cuz I wanted to endorse these people, who are super cool and welcoming)

Room Tip: Cabin 5 is great. And on the end. Kinda. Cabin 6 looks good too and is set back.
