Wonderful hosts that encourage you to make yourself at home in so many ways: help yourself to cold drinks in the mini-fridge and cookies on the counter; use the keurig anytime you wish with lots of drink options; enjoy a huge house with seating on the porch, deck, or by the pool; treat yourself to the hot tub, pool table, and salt water swimming pool; relax in comfortable, charming bedrooms with a gorgeous bath with new fixtures; and get spoiled with an absolutely wonderful breakfast served to you each day that will give you yet another reason to get out of that cozy bed and enjoy your day at the Dominion House and exploring the Hudson Valley.

Room Tip: Shared bath works out fine.

Quality time both indoors at 'The Dominion House' and outdoors on the Appalachian Trails: both highly recommendable ...also for short stays over the week end. Breakfast is delicious, of the finest quality, rooms are impeccably tidy and the location is extraordinary.

What a wonderful experience! Looking for a weekend getaway this summer, we researched B&Bs in the Hudson Valley and found this lovely property. The weather was brutally hot so we looked for a B&B with a pool. We stayed in the Honeymoon Cottage at the Dominion House and highly recommend it to any couple looking for an immaculate, private, living area with a double sized jacuzzi and comfy bed. The cottage also has a nicely equipped kitchen with a refrigerator stocked with water. We also appreciated the cookies waiting for us inside.
On the outside of the cottage is a wraparound deck where we relaxed, read our Kindles and watched many deer meander by.Kathy and Joe were delightful and showed us the beautifully appointed home. Breakfast was sensational with Kathy baking the finest scones and stuffed French toast that I have ever had.
Beautiful property, nice people, good value. We'll be back.

This was our first time to New York and we could not of stayed at better place ,stayed here to be close to west point for graduation. Kathy and Joe were really nice and took care of us all there was 12 of us staying there and we kind of took over the house, Kathy fixed some amazing meals and the area was beautiful. For an old house it was great.

This was our second stay at the Dominion House. We remembered we were impressed with it the first time. The room was immaculate and very nicely decorated. The whole house is kept in very good condition. It was well built. Some of the older homes have problems but not this one. It is in a nice, quiet location; more rural, which I find refreshing.

I also really appreciated the adjustable shower nozzel/hose, especially since I am short and have long hair. It is a drastic struggle to try and get the soap out of my hair and keep it out of my eyes. This is what I use at home so I can put the nozzle close to my head. I was really surprised to see one there. Yay! This may sound like a silly thing to be happy about but it was important to me.

The breakfast was wonderful and the hosts aim to please. After staying at other B&B's I get apprehensive about trying some, even though the pictures look good because we have been disappointed before. We will return, even if we have to go a little out of our way instead of "experimenting" with some others and being disappointed.

I was very surprised to see a poor review, so out of curiosity, I was compelled to read it. I found it pathetic, especially since both times for us have been great and that matches the other reviews. What a nit picker. I think no one could have pleased them. Some people are just difficult all the time. I have met my share like that so please do not let it discourage you from choosing to stay there.

Hmmm...I just worry about too many people discovering them and then when we want to book, they may not have an opening!

Room Tip: One room does have it's own bathroom if you are concerned about not having enough privacy. No o...

Old Dominion was our first experience at a B&B and we couldn't have asked for a better time. The 1880's home has some original antiques and has been featured on HGTV's "If These Walls Could Talk". Kathy and Joe are extremely friendly, informative and down right nice. They told us to make ourselves at home and made us FEEL IT! The rooms are charming, decorated with antiques and plenty of bedding, towels, etc. The home features a library, pool room, parlor, dining room and hot tub. We took advantage of the pool and were able to eat on the deck despite the rain! Presentation at the dinner table was excellent and our "waiter" AKA Joe, was attentive, pleasant and fun to be around! Thank you Kathy & Joe!!

A wonderful B & B in the serene countryside near attractions such as Storm King arts center. The hosts are attentive without being obtrusive and every comfort has been provided: lovely rooms, plenty of towels, excellent breakfast, refreshing pool for your return from roaming this gorgeous part of NY State. A plus.
