“Almost ...”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

Loved the ambiance and the friendly staff, the live music. The entire experiences spoiled by loud children in a bar after 10 PM. REALLY? Food was copious and mostly fried, but good and service was excellent. The bar snacks are really excellent wasabi hot stuff!!

“Mr. Brown's Pub - Not Nut Allergy Friendly”
Reviewed 14 August 2013

We have stayed at the Sagamore before and we have eaten at Mr. Brown's Pub, located in the Sagamore. We have a child who has a life threatening nut allergy. We go out to dinner weekly and have never encountered such rude, un-educated staff before. We always ask "is it safe, what can she order" before we even sit down. We were told after asking the waitress that she could not eat just about anything. The nacho chips, did not know what was in them, the bread, did not know what was in them. She could have possibly went into the kitchen and checked the box/bag or asked the chef. She then delivered a cheeseburger on a plate. That was it. And after reviewing the bill, we were charged for a whole meal. The cheeseburger was raw. During the meal, she explained that the staff just took a course on nut allergies. I find this ridiculous. In this day and age with the amount of children/adults allergic to nuts, the quality of the Sagamore Resort, they could not provide more information or more to choose from then a basic burger on a plate, which by the way had to be pan fried because they were not sure what oil they used on the grill!

“Not That Great”
Reviewed 11 August 2013

We have been going to Diamond Point for a week in August for the past 13 years. Our annual trip almost always includes a trip to Mr. Brown's Pub. This year we went twice and will probably not return in future years. Food was only okay. Both times the host/hostess seemed flummoxed when we went in for dinner even though there were many empty tables which incidentally remained empty throughout our meals. Service was SLOW!! It took a long time just to get a cocktail. Servers seemed overwhelmed despite lack of that many customers. The worst part was the number of loud unsupervised children - and their parents were with them!! Loud, obnoxious, bratty, eating dinner at 8:30/9:00 p.m. These kids (or more accurately their inattentive parents) really ruined the meals both nights.

“Cold soup!”
Reviewed 30 July 2013

Like I said. And cold like it had been in the fridge a long time before being briefly warmed. The waitress shrugged and said "People were complaining about that last night too." Um...so maybe address the cold-soup problem. ;) The soup tasted oh-kay once it was warmed, but not wonderful. My fish and chips were fine too, but nothing my family had was especially delicious.
