“Great lunch spot”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

While visiting Bolton Landing, we opted to have lunch at Cate's. Although we had a party of eight, the staff quickly adapted the tables for us. Despite it being busy and the size of our party, the service was quick and vert efficient. All our meals were served together and as ordered. Nice salads, a great pastrami sandwich with some nice IPA's on draft.

Prices were reasonable and would not hesitate to stop again for lunch should the occasion arise.

“Best meal in Bolton Landing”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Very enjoyable meal outside under the awning. Diverse menu and reasonable priced for the area. Waitress was very friendly and made you feel comfortable and unrushed, even though it was very busy.

“Best in Lake George”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

We heard from a few local folks to go and try Cate's, and ended up having dinner here after eating at a few other great local places. Cate's was hands-down the best restaurant LG has to offer. Coming from two restaurant snobs, both my wife and myself were thoroughly impressed. Not only good portion sizes, but the food is absolutely DE-LISH. The roasted rep pepper appetizer has "You need to try this "listed on the menu next to description. They aren't kidding, amazing. Muscle appetizer, also amazing! If you are one of those people who does not "eat meatballs out"...order the meatballs. You won't be disappointed. Great food! Great atmosphere/ambiance. We cannot wait to visit Cate's again!

“Not worth the visit-Don't be fooled by the inviting ambience”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

If you like to eat on cheap green plastic patio furniture with everything tasting like Prego sauce, then this is the place for you! The only positive thing I can say about this place is the cute street appeal. That's probably why it's always packed. Other then the appealing outdoor seating-I would stay away from this place.

“Disgusting Food all around!!”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

Im from the Manhattan area and visited The Sagamore , july 2014. a waiter from the Sag recommended Cates to our party of 9. Wow I wish I could find that waiter and tell him what a horrible thing to say. Yes u get large portions for low prices but if you enjoy good food this is not the place. we had lasagna, baked ziti, "bruscetta", steak pizzaol, shrimp parmesean, and a fish dish, everything was drowned in Ragu style sauce , mushy, garlic covered messes! All carbs, soggy pasta, I just cant get over how horrible the food was and the place was packed!! Not one of us liked what we tasted. Paper tableclothes, greasy plastic cups, bread that was cold in the center, and horrible service too. maybe the waiter who recommended it was related to the owners because we were dining in a fine dining resturant at the time and have no idea why he would recommend something thats worse than olive garden for Italian food, and we r real Italians by the way.
