This was a meal planned by my husband on our honeymoon. The restaurant is located down a winding road that leads right up to Lake George. We were seated outside facing the lake on a beautiful warm July night. The tables were spaced far apart so you really had an intimate dining experience. The service was top notch with our server offering suggestions, taking pictures for us and showing up precisely when we needed him. We ordered the charcuterie platter which was exceptional and big enough to split! There was an assortment of cheeses and meats with fig and peppadews decorating the board. DELICIOUS! Next I ordered the curry spiced halibut and my husband the 16oz ribeye. He claims it is the best steak he has ever eaten...I would have to agree. It was perfectly seasoned and seared to perfection at a perfect medium rare. It was accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and fresh garden veggies. My halibut was also perfectly seasoned and seared with the perfect heat level and some creme fraiche to cut some of the heat. It was served with mussels and all was devoured. We opted for the housemade raspberry cheesecake for dessert as that had been our wedding cake as well! It was equally fabulous and rich. There was also an option for make your own smores down by the lake at a private campfire, but we decided to make our own back at our lodge later. The cocktails were also not to be missed. I ordered a pear martini and it was out of this world complete with a fresh pear puree! Wonderful place...on the expensive side so plan accordingly and get a reservation!
