Description: Chateau on the Lake is located in upstate New York on Lake George, and is more than a dining establishment -- it's an experience. Our clients visit our property for at least 3 hours, select from our wine list, sit by the fire pit, savor a three to four course meal, and end their evening with coffee/after dinner drinks by the fire pit while roasting s'mores. Chateau on the Lake has been open since 2013, and we have quickly became a popular establishment, sold to capacity night after night. We are a great place to book your wedding. A memorable time is assured when you visit Chateau on the Lake. We hope to see you soon.

“Stunning view Stunning Food”

This was a meal planned by my husband on our honeymoon. The restaurant is located down a winding road that leads right up to Lake George. We were seated outside facing the lake on a beautiful warm July night. The tables were spaced far apart so you really had an intimate dining experience. The service was top notch with our server offering suggestions, taking pictures for us and showing up precisely when we needed him. We ordered the charcuterie platter which was exceptional and big enough to split! There was an assortment of cheeses and meats with fig and peppadews decorating the board. DELICIOUS! Next I ordered the curry spiced halibut and my husband the 16oz ribeye. He claims it is the best steak he has ever eaten...I would have to agree. It was perfectly seasoned and seared to perfection at a perfect medium rare. It was accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and fresh garden veggies. My halibut was also perfectly seasoned and seared with the perfect heat level and some creme fraiche to cut some of the heat. It was served with mussels and all was devoured. We opted for the housemade raspberry cheesecake for dessert as that had been our wedding cake as well! It was equally fabulous and rich. There was also an option for make your own smores down by the lake at a private campfire, but we decided to make our own back at our lodge later. The cocktails were also not to be missed. I ordered a pear martini and it was out of this world complete with a fresh pear puree! Wonderful place...on the expensive side so plan accordingly and get a reservation!

“High Class Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

My husband took me on a surprise dinner date to The Chateau and it was the perfect evening! The restaurant is located on a long narrow strip of grass right on the lake and has adarondak chairs scattered along the lawn enticing guests to relax and have a cocktail before or after their meal. They also have small fire pits as a fun adarondak themed treat. The inside of the restaurant is white, airy and elegant. We preferred a table indoors to enjoy the classy decor, but there are also nice seats on their back porch sprinkled with white lights and candles. The staff was attentive and friendly and the meal was absolutely delicious!! What a perfect evening!!

We recently stopped for a nite in Bolton Landing & ended up at the Chateau for dinner. Delicious meal in a beautiful setting on Lake George. It couldn't have been nicer!

“Very special place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2014

We were came for lunch by boat on a Sunday afternoon. They have 4 dock spaces. What a beautiful , special setting. Large lawn with groupings of Adirondack chairs surrounding fire pits. Little lights and candle holders decorate the patio and lawn.
We ate on the porch at a table covered by a white linen table cloth.
Lunch is a selection of tapas. We shared the heirloom tomato caprese salad. It was very fresh and delicious. Next we had the mussels in a coconut - lime reduction. Amazing! The crab cake that we split was very good as well.
Nice wines by the glass, and many craft beers. I had the cocktail named " The Chateau". Cucumber - infused Grey Goose with , if I recall correctly , St. Germaine and club soda, garnished with lemons. Very, very refreshing.
I glanced at the dinner menu. Looks good, if a bit pricey.
We enjoyed our lunch and the beautiful grounds.
This would be an amazing setting for a small, intimate wedding.
