“Tranquil and well located for a peaceful stay and visit to surrounding countryside”

Although secluded it is in an ideal setting for what you want, especially if you want peace and quiet.
Many places to visit nearby.
It is a nice cottage although in the heat of Summer you will require to purchase fans as it does get quite hot & stuffy. The garden is pleasant to sit out in and just relax. If I was writing a book ideal!
One minor point is that you feel slightly restricted as the place is someones home and it feels like that when staying so you are more aware instead of being 100% relaxed.
However, I would quite happily stay again and fully recommend.

Lovely traditional Cottage with all mod cons, very comfortable in a lovely village close to a lot of Dorset attractions and beautiful walks from the door step.

We`ve booked this wonderful cottage with our two teenage boys (13 and 15 years old) and it was great to stay here. Mark and Anna were nice hosts, the neighbours around were very nice and polite. Many thanks to Dominie and her husband, there were very endeavor, gave us tips for the area and were immadetialy there, if you needed them. Thanks Mark for the list with tips and instructions of using the things inside the cottage. That was very helpfull.

We did a lot of fanastic walks in this area (great maps for use are in the house), visit interesting places like Bath or the cathedral of Salisbury and a lots more (also finding fossils on the jurrasic coast). It was so nice to be in Dorset, especially in South Perrot. It is a very peacefull and quite place.

Here is a recomendation from us: If you like hiking, you should take the walk from Chiddeock Seatown to Lyme Regis, it is marvelous.

We recommend this cottage and would like to come back.

Enjoy your stay here, if you booked it.

Churchill Cottage is quaint and full of charming features. It is comfortable, well equipped and amenable for families. The garden is adorable with seating ready to use. The village is quaint and local footpaths easy to follow. We were made welcome by the neighbours and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Beautiful cottage and garden”
Reviewed 14 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This cottage is divine, very well decorated in a peaceful location, with all home comforts – a well-equipped kitchen and super-comfy beds. The garden is divine, very peaceful and their are nice walks around the village. The owner had left a generous welcome basket which was very welcome. He also sends out very helpful, fulsome notes on the property with loads of recommendations and detail. My only suggestion was that the instructions on how to get into the property in the first place are more prominent (though the route directions are excellent), the key holder's contact details are listed at the back of the long document under emergency numbers. Also I booked the property in a hurry last minute and went straight to the part on the website that says how many rooms/beds available, a child's bedroom with two single beds is listed but not actually available. It says this elsewhere in the details. I was a bit confused by this. But those are minor points. On the whole it was fine holiday.

Management Response

We have 4 bedrooms but generally only let 3 of them out (as we use the other to store our own belongings). However the bedrooms can be available in any combination by prior request.

From the time we all arrived we felt we were at home. Made to feel welcome in the idyllic surroundings of this creaking cottage. A beautiful home & a garden full of wild flowers... Paradise for the weekend, just what the Doctor ordered.
