Description: The Cooperage Inn takes great pride in serving the freshest fish, meats and local produce available. Sauces are expertly prepared on premise by our chefs. The name "Cooperage Inn" comes from the craft of coopering, which goes back a few centuries, when it was the major method of packaging. We are located in the Long Island Wine region. Wine makers have always relied on the skills of the Village Cooper to store and age their wines.

Very homey atmosphere with interesting, beautiful decorations. Food choices are quite varied and the food is very good. The Sunday buffet brunch is one of the best. A great place to enjoy a meal for a special occasion.

This place is really cute. There is an outdoor area and a beer garden that looks perfect in the summer. The music room is very enjoyable. The music is not too loud, and you can still carry a conversation. The food is delicious and very filling. The wine list is extensive and has lots of local options.

After a funeral at Calverton Cemetary I invited around 20 family members to lunch and it was very good. Tasty caesar salad and delicious salmon. They have a nice selection of beer too.
The waiter was attentive and they gave us a quiet room to ourselves.
The mocha chocolate cake was very average, but the coffee was fresh and good quality.

Normally every time we dine here we always have a good experience. However this time was different we went for restaurant week and a couple things went wrong. The place was packed and overcrowded for a Sunday night and the lighting was very dark you could barely see your food, let alone hear what the other person was saying. The crab was the usual tasty but the same, I got the chicken Milanese which was extremely bland to my surprise. The chicken itself was moist but had zero flavor and the lettuce that was on top of it was extremely dry plus the rice tasted dry and cold. Not to mention our meal came out 15 minutes too late after the waitress apologized that they made a mistake, and didn't fire up the grill after appetizers were done. After she explained what had happened offering all of the information to us she had said, "your meal better taste great or else all of that wasn't worth it", so I decided not to say anything. We had wanted to go somewhere else for a change but in the end decided to go to this place because normally we get a good meal every time....except this time. Not too sure if I'll return.

I have gone to many breakfast buffets but never have i seen one with the quantity and variety of foods as the Cooperage Inn. Everything was delicious! Starting off with a complimentary mimosa was a real nice touch. Everything that was supposed to be warm or hot, was. (i usually find buffet food cooled) From the fresh baked goods to the omelets made in front of you, everything was perfect. I went with my nephew and his wife and we had a wonderful time. We must have sat for two hours and never felt like we were getting rushed. In fact, we kind of eased into luncheon foods after finishing our breakfasts. I was stuffed but my pregnant niece-in-law was not and ate at least three desserts! She thought each one was better than the next! On top of the extensive buffet, the staff was wonderful and the atmosphere delightful. This place really contributed to a wonderful visit to Long Island.
