“Warm and Welcoming”
Reviewed 21 August 2011

Wonderful! Bella Rose exceeded all our expectations when my husband and I stayed there August 11 - 15. There was no detail left out, from the welcome at the door, the tour of the beautiful house, the dining recommendations, the providing of maps to local destinations. The breakfasts were memorable and there was enough food to carry a person over to dinner. There was a small refrigerator stocked with water, soda, and snacks. The bed was so comfortable and the chocolates in the room were a nice touch. We were fortunate to have great house mates and the breakfast conversation was lively and interesting. What a wonderful experience, and our thanks go to Renee and Chris for really "doing it right"!

My wife and I went for a four day week-end get away. Loved everything about the Bella Rose. This was our third time staying in a bed and breakfast and it was by far the best. The breakfast was awesome. Our room(Nellie's room) was very clean and comfortable. Renee and Chris were the perfect hosts, not missing any detail. Their dinner recommendations were fantastic as well. We can't wait to go back and have already recommended it to all our friends.

Renee and Chris were warm and friendly. The food was fresh and delicious, the house looked like it should be photographed for a "House Beautiful" magazine, and the town was simply delightful. We enjoyed the Sonnenberg Gardens, The New York Wine and Culinary Center and local art museums. Chris and Renee helped customize our stay by giving us detailed information to places we were interested in (like the best coffee place in town). We had a great time and we will be back.

This was our first stay at a B&B...and it definitely won't be our last! Renee and Chris were very warm and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We stayed for two nights in Nelle's Hideaway. It was a very charming room with a comfortable bed and private bathroom. The highlight for us was the 3 course breakfast (pastry, fruit, and warm entree) that varied each day. Our tastebuds will never forget it! Also, we enjoyed getting to know Renee and Chris and seeing that they were truly passionate about their vocations. It gave us hope and drive to do the same. We recommend going on the first Saturday of the month for the Wine Walk. Also, if you have time, sign up here for the Couples Cooking Class at NYWCC. It was a blast. We will definitely visit the Bella Rose again!!

Room Tip: Book a package for cooking class and stay two nights

What a perfect place for a weekend getaway! My husband and I visited back in May for our anniversary, and it was the best decision we could have made. Renee and Chris were gracious, warm, and had a way of making you feel comfortable and relaxed. They were helpful and kind, and full of wonderful recommendations. The house is just gorgeous. Everything was beautiful, but also comfortable and un-stuffy. We stayed in the Ann Eliza suite, and it was perfect. The bed was plush and comfy, the jetted tub was so relaxing, and the handcrafted bubble bath was blissful. And then there was the food... WOW!!! Renee is a FABULOUS cook! The breakfasts were awesome. I will never forget her homemade strawberry pop-tarts or my first experience with looseleaf chocolate chai (which I drink all the time now)! And we had lovely company, as another couple were also celebrating their anniversary, and were wonderful to visit with. We also appreciated the help with dinner reservations. Renee got us into The Office at the last minute on a Friday night of a holiday weekend. No small feat, and we are forever indebted. It was SO good. Do yourself a favor if you stay at the Bella Rose, and eat at The Office. You will be glad you did! She also made us dinner reservations for our anniversary at the Brown Hound Bistro, which is a short, scenic drive away in Naples. Also wonderful! It is a cute little cafe with fabulous locallyl sourced fare. All in all, I cannot say enough about our weekend. I wish it would have lasted longer, but there's always next year!

Thank you for taking the time to write us this review from your visit with us in June. We appreciate knowing you enjoyed your time with us! You must have been here when Chris was out of commission after hurting himself on a home improvement job. We're sorry you didn't get to meet him this time, but maybe another time as he is back to his old self now, as the perfect sous chef! Thanks again!!!

Restored 1895 Victorian, run by gracious, congenial couple. The rooms are beautifully done, quiet, with comfortable beds and all accessories. Air conditioned and centrally located. .Breakfasts are "over-the-top" - three course, gourmet offerings. I stayed a week and each breakfast was different. Prices are reasonable, especially in light of the quality. Highly recommended.
