The unique environment, friendly people and staff make my stay here enjoyable everytime. Food is excellent as always and the accommodations are great - I love the Mattress. I had a peaceful walk at the park and lake, what a great environment! Duncan is a great addition and i love seeing him relaxing in the main room.

Room Tip: All rooms are so unique - check them out online.

This was our second over night trip to the Brae Loch Inn and it was enjoyable. Our room was very nice with a few things in need of attention ( a blown light bulb in the night light lamp, a noisey air conditioner and a few others). Overall it was fine and the memory foam bed was very comfortable. The staff are all very attentive and friendly. The location is perfect. Close to the center of town and close to the lake.
We ate dinner at the Brae Loch and it was good but not as good as our previous visit. Had a very good waitress. We will go again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this establishment. It was such a pleasant surprise. Charming environment, very nice room decor and comfortable, super friendly staff and loved loved loved that it is pet friendly. We were attending a wedding nearby, so we didn't have much time for play - but we can't wait to go back and enjoy the amenities of the Brae Loch as well as the town of Cazenovia. Our only complaint would be that our room, #17 Thistle, appears to have been above the kitchen/employee entrance and so the room is a bit loud during business hours. It was quiet at night but "night hours" were short as they run late and get started early. It wasn't ridiculously disruptive but it was noticable. I peaked in other rooms on my way out and they all had great character!

This is the third or fourth time we have stayed at the Brae Loch for a "spur of the moment" getaway. Cazenovia is a lovely town just a couple hours drive from our house so we are occasionally motivated to do an overnight there - lots of little antique stores nearby and the lake is very pretty. The Brae Loch is right in the town so it is walking distance to shops and lake. It is an older building and it shows it's age so frankly I think you are better off in one of their simpler rooms (I wouldn't bother springing for a jacuzzi here for instance). That said, the rooms are cozy and comfortable and decorated in a style that matches the inn (again, think cozy and comfortable, not modern and luxe). It can be a little noisy in some rooms in the evening with the restaurant and bar below the guest rooms but I don't find it to be "over the top", perhaps bring ear plugs if you are a very light sleeper. The complimentary Scotch whiskey is a really nice touch. The upstairs restaurant is pleasant and they sometimes have overnight packages that include dinner there that are a good value. The downstairs bar is dark and cozy and serves pub fare (like burgers) and is a good more casual option. The bar seems popular with guests and locals alike.

Lovely inn near Cazenovia Lake. We stayed there for one night. We stayed in The Thistle room. It was large, and decorated with Victorian furniture. We were looking forward to the jacuzzi. VERY comfortable temperpedic King sized bed, which had a canopy. The only glitch was that this room is, I think, over the kitchen and overlooking the garbage area, so it was a little noisy, but not bad. The bad part was there was no hot water. No jacuzzi. I was going to call down, but DH said they couldn't bring us hot water. I did mention it at checkout, and they took some off of the bill. We decided we would give it one more try, but not in this room.

We decided to spend our Easter weekend at Brae Loch and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the inn. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We loved "Hank" the bartender :-). The inn is appointed nicely. The rooms are charming, spacious and well appointed (with comfy beds). We met family here for our stay and had our Easter dinner at the fabulous Sunday buffet. No complaints here! In fact, we just might make this an annual Easter tradition!

You will feel like you are in Scotland. You get complimentary Scotch if you are staying there, food is delicious and the overall feeling of the inn is very cozy. A great place for a getaway or for any occasion.
