“Disappointing...”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

Sold as 3-star lodging on Priceline, this hotel, was a disappointment. Dirty windows were the first indication that the place is neglected. The bathroom was shabby with a rickety toilet and paneling loose on the door. The room was attractive and reasonably large, but the bedspread was threadbare. The whole hotel is in need of a giant refurbishment.

Room Tip: East side of hotel has loud train whistles at all hours. Don't know if it would be quieter on...

I used to loved this hotel for the location. It was close to a great mall--very convenient to everything, but it has really deteriorated. The bedding is the worst thing--old sheets, pillows, and bedspread. The pillows were lying on top (touching) the bedspread that seemed really old and dirty. It made me feel like I'm sleeping in a dirty bed. Cannot believe the bedding has not been upgraded in recent years like just about every hotel has done. The bedding looks like something that would be in a cheap, low-end hotel. It has potential, but needs improvement!

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. There were never enough towels, you have to pay extra for a refrigerator; but they were all sold out, most of the outlets do not work either. This hotel charges too much for poor quality. The rooms were small and the doors were a hassle to use. Avoid this hotel, there are plenty of better ones in the area.

This hotel is dilapidated & in need of a serious remodel; rooms are dirty and the bathrooms are even worse. There's $28.19 charge on my visa after being told @ check-out that there was a zero balance.

Very dirty surroundings here. Carpets are filthy. Our toilet seat was cracked, forcing us to cover it with a towel to use the toilet. When our room was cleaned, we received no clean towels. When we called the desk, we got 2 towels 45 minutes later and no face cloths. Tried to contact manager Scott Wright, email bounced back : email is scott.wright@millenniumhotels.com. Tried to call- asked for him by name- got another random person-director of revenue. Sent letter to corporate, no response. Don't waster your money staying here!

It's a 2 star hotel at a 3 star price.(priceline stated it's a 3 star) The reviews I've read make it worse than it is but this hotel does lack in certain areas. It is adequate for a place to stay but for the price I might think of looking elsewhere. The showers/tubs are too small, they really show their age, since no one showers in tubs that size except road side motels and the toilet was really low. The pool was in the court yard which makes it, at least to me, uncomfortable. No breakfast included, first hotel I've stayed at that was a 3 star (priceline) that didn't have a warm breakfast included, dinners were not included either. We stayed during some kind of banquets or functions, having some kind of special entrances for that would have been appreciated for the guests of the hotel instead of having to fight for parking and squeeze past hordes of folks just to get to the elevators. The rooms were clean, the sheets were laundered, the bed was comfy. The staff was friendly. I had a view of a school, so my curtain was closed most of the time, but I don't stay at hotels for views so that's not a complaint. All in all, it's not all doom and gloom at the Millennium, it does need a rehab but that in and of itself does not warrant not staying at the hotel, especially if you can get a good deal on a room.

Room Tip: One side faces a school, the other the highway, another a mall, so room selection by side doesn'...

It was unfortunate that we walked in the Millennium Hotel with thoughts of what the reviews said about this hotel. We didn't find it all that bad. I've seen worse...much worse. There were a couple stains on the carpet, pillows could be better, internet was weak but other than that it was a nice place to stay. Most comparable hotels in the price range ($68 a night on Hotwire) is equally in need of reno's so our standards aren't as high as some are.

There was a door beside my bed that connect two rooms together. I could hear the guy next door snoring, coughing, talking ect through this door. Some reviews mention the walls are paper thin but I think the door between the rooms are where the noise comes from. Maybe the doors are hollow or not built to reflect noise.

Management could train the staff to be a bit more friendly and a bit less robotic. We didn't have any issues but I could sense that they were not trained in friendly, inviting customer service.

The pool area was very nice and clean. All in all the property was clean. We would return.
