“Don't eat the breakfast”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

Stayed at this hotel as part of a meeting/ convention . The hotel could use some sprucing up but the room was clean and comfortable. It was also quiet and the bed also comfortable.
The bad news was the breakfast that was almost unedible. Canadian bacon was steamed with a scum on it and the whole breakfast plate was cold. Not a very good way to start the day. Service was also exceedingly slow. The hotel seemed to be unprepared for a morning rush even though the workshop was booked for there.

As a user of those bidding sites for my hotel stays, I have been forced to stay in this hotel a couple of times, and both times I felt violated.

The hotel was probably quite posh and upscale when it was first built. But I think it got stuck in a time warp and the owners have done very little to try to keep the place maintained and up to date in terms of decor etc.

Everything here is about 15 years too old, carpets, wallpaper, paint, decorations, bedding... everything. I think the present owners are trying to fix it up a little, but the place is just so big and has been so neglected I think they are beyond fixing it.. it has now come to the stage that it would be probably better off to pull it down and start again.

There is a weird smell in the corridors and the rooms are positively grungy. I didn't feel at all comfortable even sitting on the bed and although I found no evidence of bed bugs (yes I inspected very carefully,) I couldn't help but think about that sort of thing all night. The walls are paper thin and you can even hear people breathing next door, most disconcerting. I tried changing rooms... three times... but they were all pretty much the same.

The only two things that are good about this hotel is that it has free parking, and it is right next door to a huge mall. Other than that its is a complete rip off at anything over $20 a night.

Room Tip: Make sure you have your own sheets and try not to walk on the floor without slippers

If it hadn't been 11 pm when we checked in we would have moved to a different hotel. We booked at the last minute because my nephew was in the ICU in the Children's Hospital and we needed to stay the night someplace, and were really exhausted. It STINKS of dirty old carpet. During the day, we saw that it was actually dirty old carpet in the halls.. The room itself, 268, had a filthy carpet- we didn't remove our shoes. We stripped the comforters and pillows off the top of the beds and slept with sweatshirts and just the sheets because of all the stains on the plaid comforters. The sheets looked clean and we hoped for the best regarding bugs. We negotiated about who would get to use the one washcloth. To add insult to injury, on checking out today the front desk person chastised me for not letting them know last night. When I asked if they had better and cleaner rooms she said yes. Who gets the clean rooms??? And you still have to walk through the filthy halls to get there.

Room Tip: Ask the front desk for a clean room and good luck.

Sold as 3-star lodging on Priceline, this hotel, was a disappointment. Dirty windows were the first indication that the place is neglected. The bathroom was shabby with a rickety toilet and paneling loose on the door. The room was attractive and reasonably large, but the bedspread was threadbare. The whole hotel is in need of a giant refurbishment.

Room Tip: East side of hotel has loud train whistles at all hours. Don't know if it would be quieter on...

I used to loved this hotel for the location. It was close to a great mall--very convenient to everything, but it has really deteriorated. The bedding is the worst thing--old sheets, pillows, and bedspread. The pillows were lying on top (touching) the bedspread that seemed really old and dirty. It made me feel like I'm sleeping in a dirty bed. Cannot believe the bedding has not been upgraded in recent years like just about every hotel has done. The bedding looks like something that would be in a cheap, low-end hotel. It has potential, but needs improvement!

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. There were never enough towels, you have to pay extra for a refrigerator; but they were all sold out, most of the outlets do not work either. This hotel charges too much for poor quality. The rooms were small and the doors were a hassle to use. Avoid this hotel, there are plenty of better ones in the area.

This hotel is dilapidated & in need of a serious remodel; rooms are dirty and the bathrooms are even worse. There's $28.19 charge on my visa after being told @ check-out that there was a zero balance.
