What a great place for families to ski together. I initially checked it out with a friend and his son two weeks ago and decided to take my wife and daughters (7 & 10) there this past weekend 1/25 & 1/26. We booked a balcony room and got there around 930 AM to pick up our lift passes. Patty at the front desk was kind and took time to explain everything to me since it was our first stay at the resort.
The resort is older but kept up and in good shape. All the rooms have been updated. We had a double queen balcony room which the kids loved. The room had a small wet bar with mini fridge and microwave (all new) Plenty of room for all the ski gear too. The room was close to the lift and parking lot so we simply kept the skis in the truck instead of taking them into the room.
No long lift lines here! The longest wait was maybe 3 minutes. The lift operators did not have to be asked to slow it down when the kids were a little slow at getting to the loading line. The skiing was excellent with 10" of natural snow throughout the day on Saturday. Plenty of ski patrol and other PNP employees on the slopes looking to assist if needed. These slopes are wide and have a nice variety including terrain parks that were fun.
Food and services were reasonably priced as well. We did eat at the Royal Court for dinner and found service to be good. Food took about 35 mins to come out but it was good. We visited the other eateries and had good service and food as well. We did like the locations of the eateries because they were conveniently located across resort foothill. So it was never a distance when we needed to warm up for a bit or eat. Dropped my skis of Saturday night at the ski shop for wax and they were ready to go early Sunday morning.
Overall, if you are looking for a reasonably priced family ski area that is not over run with young drunk adults, give PNP a try. We did and will be going back again in a few weeks!
