“Good for family outings if you book in advance”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2012

The place is really good because the area is nice and clean, the hotel is a stone's throw away from the beach, good facilities, and if you go hungry from swimming, the restaurant is next to the beach. The only hassle we had was when we checked in, we were told to go to a room and waited to be served, after the customer left they haven't even acknowledged me so I have to talk to them that we were checking in and that is the time the manager acknowledged me as a customer, not even an apology! But anyway, after that hassle everything went great. The restaurant staff were really friendly and quick, and the food is really good. The dive staff are great, they are very knowledgable in what they do. even though I know how to dive, I just rented some snorkelling gear for me and my family and the staff even told me where the best place is to snorkel, the bad thing is I wasn't able to bring a waterproof camera and they don't sell them in-store. In other words, we had a good time. Wouldn't be put off in paying all the tolls, It was well worth it!

My husband called Camayan to inquire about a daytrip to the beach the following day. He was told that as long as we are not planning to go diving we can come anytime. After 3 hrs drive we arrived at 10am only to find out that all cabanas were taken. We were so furious! It was obvious when my husband spoke with the reception or whoever it was who manned the phone that he's a foreigner. The least she could have done was warn him to be at the beach at the break of dawn as the rest of Manila descends there early.

We went to the hotel thinking that maybe we will just book a room... alas! I stood there waiting and waiting only to be asked if I needed help by an irritated-looking guy. We just walked out and swore never to be back.

we had an early check in, on ths check in time we get told that we have to wait up to 2pm for the regular check in time.
so far so good.
the room nice and clean, minibar not existing only a none working refrigerator.
the food at the resto terrible, oily get the feeling we get served the leftovers from the buffet they serve few minutes before, or maybe the back up.
the night time fantastic experience after spending the whole day in ocean adventure park which is worth to go there and that the only reason we would like to go early in the bed, the beds are comfortable nice setup,
but we could hear in our room the talk of the other rooms and i guess you know asian people are not talking silent. but the worst part is a band who is playing almost in front of the window. and that up to 11.30pm.
even complainting brings nothing, sorry sir we can not stop the music.
wow information are giving you can not check in early but absolutly no information is giving about the music at night time, do not forget they have house rules for the guest but not for them self.

The place is really good because the area is clean, the beach is really near the rooms, great scenery, nice plants all around the place. The beach is clean, clear water, sandy, as you swim the fish can be nearby. The only thing that I did not like is that the shower curtain is dirty and the way the tub is designed is that the water flows outside of the rim of the tub thus flooding the bathroom floor. The breakfast buffet is great, however, their regular menu is so-so. They should improve the quality of food.

In the morning before 7 am, it is so peaceful. I would go for a 30 minute jog along the beach then swim afterwards. Almost no one on the beach at that time.

The staff is very pleasant, friendly and accomodating. No fitness center and swimming pool though.

The only reason to stay here is the proximity to Ocean Adventure. It's just across the massivew car park and you receive 20% discount on admission. You can pop in and out of Ocean Adventure for the shows and the dolphins, and have your meals and children's naps back at the hotel. It's easy.

The rooms are clean and spacious and well equipped. We had a room in the new block with a verandah overlooking the sea, with two queen size beds which was fine for the family. There were a few glitches however like the light on our verandah wasn't working and the washing line in the bathroom was hanging off. These were resolved by maintenance once we let them know.

The beach is not exactly pristine, but it was fine for a couple of days. There are a few rocks in the water and as the beach was so busy in Holy Week the sea didn't really feel very refreshing. You can't just walk for miles along empty sand. Although if you go midweek you will at least get space on the beach.

The dive shop staff seemed kinda dozy and didn't want to commit to dive sites or dive times so we just didn't bother.

The restaurant definitely lets the hotel down. The menu is really extensive (never a good sign?) but the food just wasn't fresh or inviting. We had a bowl of pancit noodles and there was a large piece of cling film in with the noodles. Food choices for children were limited to fried chicken and rice and sweet spaghetti. Disappointing.

Last Holy week (April 4-8), we went to Camayan beach resort hoping for a good swim and fun time with our kids. The beach was crowded (peak season!) and cabanas or huts were unavailable but we still paid just to swim on the beach for an hour or two..

We headed to the restaurant near the beach (a few meters and there's the water!) and ordered some food before swimming. When we were about to put our sunblocks on, we were told by the waiter not to stay if and when we will be swimming on the beach. I found that very odd since a resto near the beach will obviously expect people who went swimming to eat at their place (going back to the beach and back to the resto in swim outfits).. I agreed but i knew this was really unfair..because when we looked around the restaurant, a LOT of people in SWIMSUITS were eating at their tables!!

My husband called for the restaurant owner but he didn't come out... i guess he couldn't really explain to us why others can simply swim and eat at their place while we have to move out.

We ordered the food, right? doesn't this mean we have the right to sit there? ..we even asked for ketchup but the service was delayed for a loong time.. the waiter was faster in telling us to move to another place!! unbelievable!!!

Definitely not worth the trip.
