Whiterock Waterpark and Beach Hotel

Upside: The resort has fun and exciting amenities Downside: they are very filthy.
When we went to the beach, we found wrappers of chips, a dirty diaper and 2 dead jellyfish floating by the shore. In the pools and slides, there were all sorts of dirt at the bottom of the pool. There was also a lot of algae.

Upside: The staff were friendly Downside: they didn't seem to know what they were doing
When we arrived at our room, we couldn't open the door. The key card wouldn't work and we had to wait for about an hour in the room next door while the staff tried different ways to open the door. They actually didn't seem to know how to open it. When we came back from swimming, we had to wait for about 20 mins for the staff to en the door again because the key card that they gave us didn't work. They ended up giving us the manual key. After returning from dinner, our lights started flickering. We called the front desk to ask for assistance but when the maintenance came they didn't know how to fix it either and they asked us to transfer to another room, but we decided to stay where we were. My dad later found out the the light switches were behind the headboard. If you lean against the headboard, the lights turn off.

Upside: it was bright and sunny Downside: there was no shade in any part of the waterpark
A few minutes after we arrived, my parents thought about leaving and transferring to another hotel. Since my sisters had respiratory allergies, they started to have a hard time breathing because the extreme heat. The lobby wasn't even air conditioned.

Upside: the resort is relatively nice. Downside: the high rates are definitely not worth it.
While we were waiting for the staff to clean our room, we waited in a small covered area near the beach. After my parents looked around for a while, my dad said that this is a very costly mistake. We also paid so much but we were so disappointed when we saw our room. We were a family of seven and the room was very tiny. My mom actually talked to the supervisor to ask if we would be given a refund if we transferred to a different hotel.

Except for the wave pool and slide, the trip was disappointing

We've been here 3x before, i like to write a review on our 4th visit as i noticed a lot of changes on this beach resort.
day tour entrance is 650/pax, bringing in of food allowed.
here are the changes
1) beach cabana ( rental 4,000 pesos), before it was a stand alone structure, each one separated from one another, now they made it into a long rectangular structure and subdivided it into 6 cabana with only a steel pipe serving as a division, compromising privacy, although it maximizes the use of space and profit for the resort, for us customers, it was a bad idea.
2) beach fronting hotel rooms with jacuzzis outside were constructed behind beach cabanas, nice new structures, i peeked into one of the rooms while it was being cleaned by a staff, nice new clean room.
3) Zip line costs 250 pesos, water cannons not working, surfrider under construction or repair(?)
4) while sands brought elsewhere were being delivered and poured into the beach front, covering up the original grayish sand, projecting a white sand beach, but it's artificial.
5) they have staff with pushcart to help day tour guests bring their belongings to their respective cabanas, nice move on the part of the resort management

overall, i still like the 2 wave pools, but they need to clean their swimming pools, it was dirty when we're there, a staff told me big corporate groups were there the precious.day, they shouldn't scrimp on pool maintenance, it's peak season, revenues are high, they should make their facilities in tip top shape.

I'm not satisfied with my stay here. First, the room is quite old and the airconditioning is not functioning well. I called the Frontdesk line to ask for maintenance of the aircon unit but after several follow-ups nobody arrive.

We had our company outing here just this weekend. I was skeptical because everyone is going to the south (Batangas or Laguna) for their summer outing. What's good about the place aside from its beach front and pool is that their outdoor activities like kayak and beach volleyball can be used for free while others such as the zip line, wall climb and rappelling are quite reasonably priced. They have a big open outdoor grass area for land activities as well. The beach is good enough for a swim and you can still swim safely at night provided you stay within the enclosed area, because of the low tide. Breakfast buffet is quite ok for me. Good air conditioning in the room and they are quite clean. This place is better spent with a big group of friends or office mates so you can utilize all facilities-- the price is not cheap. You can still use them even when you check out. It was worth the long trip.

Room Tip: If there's 3 of you or more, just stay in the deluxe room and get an extra bed (bunk bed in the...

It is a big resort in the Subic Bay area. We were there five years ago. Family brought us there. The resort was nice. Enjoyed the beach and pool area. We all rented cottages facing the bay and beach area. It was nice and relaxing stay for us, after 20 hours of traveling to get to the Philippines.
Lots of activities there, swimming, paddle boats, pool with water slides, bowling alley.

All in all, nice stay and great for large family vacation getaways.

Last month we had our wedding there. Their wedding package wasnt worth it. The service was so bad that they sent on the job trainees to serve!! Their wedding coordinator wasnt around after the meeting. The sound system folks doesnt know what they are doing. The servers didnt serve the newlywed their food and the sponsors. They not bring all the food out that were on the menu! Worst resort in subic to have a wedding!

We were 3 ladies and one 5 yrs old. We arrived past lunchtime and we knew that we had not enough time but our sole purpose for coming here is to relax for a few hours. Firstly, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. Second, the ambience of the place was really cozy and relaxing. Third, the amenities were very good. We tried their two gigantic slides and it didnt disappoint! We had so much fun. They opened the wave pool just for us despite the fact that we were only 4 people. Yes, we were the only ones in the pool area. We enjoyed the exclusivity! Not to mention, Kuya Robert, one of their staff, made sure that we had a wonderful time at the resort. He urged us to try the slides. He opened the wave pool for us. He also sometimes looked after our kid. And that's personalized service which is a really excellent way of impressing your staff! Because of that, i have nothing but good remarks for this place. Excellent Service goes a long way! Few things that we didnt like was the sand was not white at all. It's gray. And by afternoon, there were lots of jellyfishes already. That's why we had to move to the pool area.
