At the last minute (by Cooperstown standards) my husband and I decided to attend the final weekend of the Glimmerglass festival and were delighted to get a room for two nights at Daylily Dreams, our favorite B&B in the area. We have stayed there three times in the last 10 years and find it a perfect home base for our get away weekends in the area. The key word may be "home" because Bob and Raye create a lovely, home-like ambience for their guests. The rooms are large and very comfortable, with extra pillows, flat screen TV's, good lighting and well-chosen furnishings. The breakfasts are made with ingredients from local farms, like blueberries picked nearby and strawberries from the farmers market.
We had to arrive rather late and were so pleased that Bob waited up for us and insisted on helping us carry our bags.
This is a relatively modern home on a large property with gorgeous landscaping. It's next door to a farm and very serine, but a very short drive to the center of Cooperstown and the opera.
