“Great location, best choice for multi-day stay”
Reviewed 23 May 2010

Staybridge is my first choice for multi-day stays in the Corning area. I find ease in registration and reservations overall. It is located right off the interstate and close to downtown Corning and right next to the glass works visit start site.

The kitchenette has always been clean and stocked. Any issues I have had have been addressed immediately

What a treat this hotel turned out to be. Two-room suite! Very roomy and clean. The bathroom was a tad small for a suite this size and the bed was just OK. The breakfast buffet was very nice. The Corning Museum of Glass (a must see!) is literally next door.

My husabnd and I are seasoned travelers and took this three day trip just for a little R and R. Corning is only an hour from our home.
We absolutely loved it! The room(s) were immaculately clean and had every amenity. I even chose to cook dinner in on one of the nights. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed.
Service was excellent. The pool and spa pool were clean and wonderful.
I have read complaints about the buffet breakfast but in all honesty, I dont know what people were compalining about. There were many selections including eggs, bacon, make your own waffles, all kinds of pastries and breads, hot and cold cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, sausage and biscuits, coffee and three kinds of juice, just to name some of the items.
We will most definitely return to this hotel when we visit Corning again.

When we travel the biggest thing we look for is a warm pool. This hotels pool is very warm and we all went in it for hours. The hot tub was nice as well. The gentlemen at check in was very friendly and suggested a few local places to eat. The breakfast was your typical buffet nothing exciting. The room was nice szed with two tv's which the kids loved.

Went to Corning to visit the Glass museum. Location of this hotel was good for walking.

Website says that this hotel has a restaurant, but neglected to say that the restaurant is a buffet only for breakfast and for sundowner receptions after 5:30pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. This hotel does not have a functioning restaurant. There are no restaurants in the area, but the desk personnel was very helpful supplying menus for delivery restaurants, but the two restaurants I ordered from were very poor.
The breakfast offered was ok. The cheese omelets, sausage patties and make-your-own waffles were excellent. However, I wish that someone would send the cook south to learn how to make sausage gravy.

The Sundowner menus were good if they served what they promised. Oh yes, there was MichLight, wine, and chips/dips. The pizza was of the same caliber as the junk that I ordered. The night that they advertized mac & cheese, there were breaded mozzarella sticks that were gummy on the outside and cold on the inside. I got a coupla beers and went back to my room to order from an Asian restaurant recommended for delivery .... another disappointment.

Wegman's is the only grocery store, and since I did not have a car, going there was out of the question.

The accommodations are good. The food is bad. There is nowhere to eat close to the hotel.

Stayed here for one night with our extended family. ldeal stopping point from our home in Westchester County, NY, as it was just about half way to our destination in Chautauqua. Picked the Suites because of all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor and have to say they were "spot on." Only a small caveat:
We had a "Queen Suite" which consisted of a central living/dining room with a kitchen area, which looked fine, though we didn't use it. There was a bedroom with two doubles, and en-suite bathroom on one side of the living room, and a Queen bedded room with en-suite bath on the other.
The living room sofa had a fold-out bed in it, and that was the ONLY problem with the suite. Our seven-year old granddaughter, who weighs all of 48 lbs. slept in that sofa bed, and complained that her back hurt from the broken springs and paper-thin mattress. Staybridge claims that this unit "sleeps 6" but there was NO WAY any adult could have slept there, so do not count on that as an extra bed. Otherwise, the unit was clean and fresh.
Breakfast bar, with a make-your-own-waffle machine, was vastly superior to any we have seen in a moderately-priced chain hotel.
Pool was almost empty and the kids had a great time in it. We ate out, but they have a couple of barbecue grills scattered about the beautiful grounds, along with picnic tables, which would save money and probably be more enjoyable than the mediocre food and lousy service we encountered on Market Street.
The hotel is a two-block walk from the Corning Museum.
If we make the same trip next year, they will see us back again.

The room had one queen bed, fridge, microwave, dishwasher etc. almost like an efficiency unit for two people. Excellent complimentary breakfast in all respects. Lovely dining area.
Initially on entering the room, I was concerned about potential noise from the highway but this did not prove to be a problem. High quality bed and linens.
When we went to the museum the next morning. We could have walked, but we used the huge museum parking lot, which is free, and next door to the hotel, to get even closer to the walkway leading up to the front door of the museum.
Quiet, well managed, excellent value. There is really no reason to stay anywhere else.
