Roomy hotel with great facilities. Location is adjacent to the Corning Glass Museum parking lot so visiting the museum is very convenient. Great breakfast as usual. Aside from the Corning Museum and the Rockwell Museum of Art, Watkins Glen National Park and the closest Finger Lakes wineries are only 30 minutes away. If you have kids, reserve them for glassmaking activities on the web before they fill up.

We stayed in the 2-bedroom suite. Worked out beautifully for family of four plus grandma. Beds in each of the two bedrooms plus sofa-bed in the living area. Included breakfast was terrific--no problems with replenishing or service. Swimming pool was a requirement for us--our little girl used the pool extensively. Didn't get around to the evening snacks; we were out most of the time. Made day trips to Watkins Glen, Ithaca--all within 30-60 minutes. Spent a day at the Corning Glass Museum. Had pizza from nearby Pizza Hut. Got fruits and icecream from Wegmans. Applebee's 30 minutes away. Decent options for food.
Couple of glitches at the hotel: Housekeeping did not clean the suite one day (not sure why). Dishwashing detergent was not restocked couple of times.
But these were minor issues. On the whole, a fantastic stay for the whole family.

My family of 5 stayed here in July. It was everything we needed with 2 adults and 3 children. We love the Staybridge properties for they are like being home when away from home. It had a large living room with dining room, a ready-to-use kitchen including all necessary appliances, glasses, plates, silverware, etc. My two oldest had their own room with own full bathroom and my wife and I had our own room with full bath. Our littlest had a crib, which was in the room at check-in per my request. Our bed was a little lumpy but otherwise it was a great room. The property was beautifully landscaped and the indoor pool and jacuzzi was a hit with us all. The basketball court was fun too. Our biggest gripe was the breakfast. The food and selection was great, its just that popular items ran out fast and sometimes were not replenished. Otherwise, it served its purpose. Also, the free laundry facility was awesome! We will stay here again when we venture back to the Finger Lakes.

Spent one night at this Staybridge, mainly because is part of the Intercontinental Group. However, it was a nice location in this little town of Corning, NY. The hotel is nicely located near the Corning Glass Museum and 2 minutes car ride to the town center. Rooms are comfortable, clean and big. Very nice breakfast buffet is included, but front desk staff needs a refreshment course on attention and service. Overall, nice stay.

We spent 6 nights here and were quite happy with the studio we were allocated. The rooms were cleaned every day apart from weekends, when you could request clean towels. The only thing I would have changed would have been the double bed, it was a bit on the small side for America. Breakfast was fine, I would have preferred pancakes to waffles, and sometimes if you didn't get down before 9am (the breakfast was on til 9.30am) they had run out of items. The Sundowner which was on 3 nights a week was good, free food and a few drinks. We used the laundry which was free, you had to buy the powder from reception for $1, but it certainly saved me from having a pile to do when we got home. We thought the food quite expensive in Corning, so mainly bought food from Wegmans and ate in. We watched a band at the Irish bar and also had drinks at the brewery 2 doors down, try the blackberry beer!

My husband and I went to Corning for a one night get away and was pleased with our stay at Staybridge Suites. The location was walking distance to the Corning Museum of Glass and a short drive to the Market Street shops and restaurants. The rooms were very clean. In my hotel stay experience, our room, lobby and hallways were probably in the top 95% in the cleanliness category. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were happy to have a breakfast included and the atmosphere was pleasant, but the food itself (eggs, bacon, fruit) wasn't the best. If you are perfectly happy with a continental breakfast of cereal, bagels, toast, coffee and drinks you will be more than satisfied as we were.

This is a nice hotel. It is easy to find from the highway and adjacent to the parking lot of the must-see Corning Glass Museum. This was my first stay at a Staybridge, but if you've ever been to a Residence Inn or a Homewood Suite, you'll be familiar with the extended-stay, kitchenette concept. I had a one-bedroom suite, which was enough room for a family, but keep in mind that there are different rooms sizes, and that some rooms are smaller.

Room amenities are good, and the property is well landscaped and feels new. The free breakfast, while not quite the quality of a full-serve restaurant, is a significant step up from your typical free motel breakfast. We had omelette-like eggs, bacons, waffles and a nice array of cold breakfast foods. The breakfast room is large, airy and even has some glass works installed!

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, the hotel offers a free dinner. Some of the choices are better than others (like I think most folks would prefer a cookout to chili!), so if that matters to you, perhaps you can call the hotel in advance and see what's on the menu.

Given the alternatives in Corning, I don't think many people would be disappointed in selecting this hotel. I would certainly return.
