The sweet potato fries were good but the burger my husband had was average and my lunch was also so-so.

“needs some help”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

let's start with the food ... we came in because the special on the board outside appealed to my wife ... then the waitress told us about it ... then we ordered it ... then the waitress came back and said they were out of it, they had to throw all of it out cause the fish was bad (okay, that's fine, but why keep it on the board and why keep telling the customers it was available).....I came in for the one vegetarian option on the menu (they were out of that, too, but they substituted it with a pasta w/vodka sauce - okay - sounded good - except they served me a pasta w/marinara sauce - which was good, but not what was offered) .... we went through our salads and were served the main course before waitress brought over our napkins we were promised when we first sat down .... like I said, it needs help (better management perhaps)

“Great overall experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

We were in the area and stopped by for a late lunch, and were promptly seated by the friendly host. Our server appeared soon after and took our drink and food orders. We sampled several of the beers til we were through and were not disappointed in any of them. For food I ordered the BBQ burger with house made fries, both of which were fabulous. The burger was fresh and juicy, a good size with the right amount of toppings. The house made fries are cut round way, so they end up crispy and quite tasty, especially with the spicy ketchup they provided, and the amount was plentiful. My husband ordered the beer brat, which he also said was very good. He didn't upgrade for fries, and just took the standard side of corn chips and salsa. He said the salsa was very good, but the only complaint the whole meal was the amount of corn chips was only 6. As in not even a handful, but 6 regular size corn chips, so that was a bit disappointing, and honestly a bit amusing as well, by the ridiculousness of it. But other than that we enjoyed the food and the brews, the service was friendly, and prices were very reasonable.

“Go for the food not the music!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2014

We dropped in here in the early evening after spending an afternoon visiting the Corning Glass museum. The big attraction was the fact that this restaurant is a brew pub. We were warmly welcomed and asked for a table inside since we expected the temperature to drop rapidly. We were disappointed that we didn't have a chance to enjoy thevery attractive rooftop deck.

Our server, Hailey, appeared promptly and looked after us attentively throughout our visit. We enjoyed the Mad Bug lager and the IPA ($3.50 & $3.75 each) although for some reason the beer and wine prices don't appear on the menu. With our first beers we shared an order of wings ($6.99 for 8) then followed this with another round of beers and an order of Southwest salad ($8.99) and Cajun Ahi salad ($11.99). Both were large portions, the chicken was fresh and moist and the greens had just the right amount of dressing. My Ahi tuna was perfect as ordered (med).

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, service and atmosphere. Our only complaint was our opinion that the music was not appropriate and too loud.

A generally good time and we would be happy to return.

“Not the greatest Corning has to offer”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

We had a party of six and had to get a manager to approve moving two tables together - the large airconditioner next door made conversation a little difficult. Once seated, we had good service although the chicken and the pulled pork sandwiches were both a little on the dry side. My beer, the Mad Bug Lager, had almost no carbonation - flat beer is never that good. We decided to move to another restaraunt for our next monthly get-together before a board meeting although the group has eaten here several times before. On, we were that about five minutes before they opened and two waitresses wouldn't let us onto the patio (although we sort of bypassed them)..
