“The Perfect Place to Stay”
Reviewed 8 July 2011

The Rosewood Inn, was the perfect place to stay. Taking my fiancée to visit my family in my old home town. Suzanne is such a gracious innkeeper, and made out stay extra special. Suzanne and Stewart welcomed us so warmly we felt like we were home. Our room was perfect with an incredibly comfortable bed, sheets, towels. Breakfasts were just fantastic (Stewart is such a great cook).

We could not have asked for a better place to hold the reunion of 5 army buddies after 50-some years along with their wives. 5 couples each had a comfortable and well-appointed room to stay in plus the use of the house including the parlor and verandah for reminiscing and socializing. Glass ware and dishes were provided and everything magically cleaned up after us.

An excellent breakfast was served in the dining room with Suzanne ensuring our coffee cups were always filled as well as entertaining us with stories about Corning's history.

The location is excellent, within walking distance of the main attractions, shopping and restaurants.

Suzanne, our hostess, was very attentive and impressed us with her knowledge of Corning's history and attractions. In fact her delivery is something to experience, she is truly a very talented entertainer. Thank you Suzanne for helping to make this reunion a success.

We would definitely recommend the Rosewood Inn and stay there again.

We knew we had chanced on a very special place from the moment Suzanne swooped down on us at the bus stop in her tiny VW because I'd lost the address, then insisted we inspect each room to select the one we liked best before giving us tea, while realing us a potted history of Corning complete with rather wickedly funny impressions of its leading citizens. There's a special pleasure in seeing someone do what they were really cut out for and in Suzanne and Stewart's case it is surely entertaining (and it is 'entertaining' like at home, not just running a B and B). They gave us the run of the house, tea and coffee on tap in a lovely drawing room full of books about glass making (it's Corring folks!) and good advice on where to eat and such. Big homely rooms with real baths and plenty of really hot water, the most comfortable bed for a long time, total quiet and breakfasts with Stewart's 's freshly baked corn bread and muffins. American hospitality at its best. It was hard to leave.

This was our fifth stay at the Rosewood Inn. Sue 'n' Stew are great hosts. Sue always greets us with a "welcome Home!" and a big hug. During the warmer months, lemonade is waiting for us on the porch. When it's cooler, we have a selection of teas to warm us up after a long motorcycle ride.

The rooms are cozy, with mattresses that put you to sleep in short order. You just don't want to leave.

Stew's breakfasts are huge and tasty. We have met some very interesting folks over breakfast. We never feel hurried.

Sue's restaurant recommendations have been bang on. No wonder we keep coming back.

Stayed here for one night after seeing our son on Parents weekend at college. It is situated in town, on a side street. Very close walking proximity to awesome shopping and cool restaurants on Market Street and museums. Go to the Market Street Brew Pub!! Excellent Burgers! Just ask Stewart!

The Inn is decorated with antiques and, is very warm and cozy. You just can't help but feel like you're home. Beautiful sitting rooms, porch and dining room. Stewart and Suzanne are excellent hosts, very kind and accomodating. Excellent Grandmas eggs Stewart. Thanks! Our companions at the table were lively and fun, as well as Suzanne with her stories that were so entertaining. Cute Pugs too, they made an appearance AFTER breakfast, for those who would like to meet them.

Our room was Elizabeth's Royal Room. It is quite large, queen bed, and private bath. Although the bath is dated, it is charming and more than adequate. We greatly enjoyed our stay here, and will not hesitate to book there again.

My wife and I stayed at the Rosewood Inn during our trip through New York State.

Suzzanne & Stewart couldn't be more warm and gracious. The room was very comfortable, and well appointed, and the entire B&B most charming.

The highlight of the stay was breakfast with a very interesting couple from Isreal.
This gave us the opportunity to speak with people we usually don't get to meet.

Stewart and Suzzanne fortunately were able to join us, and by then we were old friends.

We also enjoyed the music provided by Stewart.

Loved this place.
