We discovered this little gem in 2008 and have been coming back at least once a year. Sue is an amazing innkeeper who always goes the extra mile for her guests. She lets us park our motorcycle in her garage so it will be safe and out of the rain.

Her restaurant referrals are bang-on. We have never been disappointed. One time, she shopped around for ingredients for our favourite appetizers and delivered them to a restaurant to ensure they would be able to make them for us - even though they had been discontinued from the menu.

Our room is cozy, spacious and clean. The mattress in our bed is one of the best we've had.

The side porch is a great spot to meet other guests and have lemonade in the afternoon. On colder days, we have tea in the parlour. Sue is a great entertainer. If she gives up innkeeping, she could do stand-up comedy.

The continental breakfasts are tasty and very filling, lasting us most of the day.

Location is good. The best restaurants in Corning are about a 10 min walk. Same goes for shopping, the Rockwell Museum and the free shuttle bus to the Corning Museum of Glass.

I was so excited to share a birthday weekend with my partner at Rosewood. We were greeted warmly and shown around the house and we were able to choose our room which was nice. Our room was nicely appointed and clean. I don't understand, however, why bed and breakfasts must be decorated in excess with a Victorian flair and stuff everywhere, but that's just me! I was extremely disappointed in the breakfast however. Reviews suggested a hearty and full breakfast. It was far short of that. One store bought corn muffin to share, 2 dry cereals and some toasted bread. REALLY? For the price of the room (with tax $200+), I wish we'd gone to a hotel and had breakfast out at one of the many great Corning restaurants.

Sure it isn't exactly 5 star accommodations but seriously this was my best B&B stay ever.
The breakfast (French toast one morning, "German style eggs' the next) were absolutely delicious and same with Suzanne's homemade warm muffins!

The room was very quiet, very clean and bed very comfortable. It was the perfect, quiet country escape much needed from the concrete jungle. (plus air conditioning as it was way too hot/humid out!)

My favorite part though was Suzanne. She has got a personality like no other. The lady should do stand-up comedy. Usually I am not a morning person, not really a B&B person where you talk all morning over breakfast, but at this place I was. She is such a cool person!

Corning is actually an incredibly nice/great town too and town is just a short walk form the Inn.

Very highly recommend!

I may not be a B and B person, but nonetheless was disappointed with the accommodations in this Inn. Everything was kind of old and worn out and the bathroom tiny and not workable at all for two people.

The proprietress was lovely...but I really wish the room was nicer.

In my mind, Rosewood Inn is everything one would want in a bed & breakfast. Comfortable, beautiful rooms, appealing host, delicious food, close to attractions. Suzanne greeted us: "Welcome home!" And we felt at home. We stayed in the Lewis Carroll-themed room and it was a delight, with Tenniel drawings, Alice books and tschotchkes all around. Breakfast starts with fruit, juice, coffee/tea and a fresh muffin. (Suzanne remembers everyone's preferences for decaf, coffee or tea). THEN you get an entree like Challah French Toast or Cheese Strata. It's hard to get up from the table, because Suzanne's conviviality is contagious and everyone can't stop talking with each other. While we eat and chat, our beds are being made. Every afternoon there is fresh lemonade and cookies. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We enjoyed our stay at the Rosewood Inn in Corning, NY. Suzanne was a wonderful (and very funny) host. Although we did not get to meet Stewart we did get to taste his cooking - everything was delicious. Breakfast was set beautifully each morning and when you are done you feel like you had a 3-course meal! We especially liked the Post Shredded Wheat :)

The Inn is just a few blocks to the main shopping/dining area and the Corning Museum of Glass, an easy walk. Suzanne made dinner recommendations and gave us some tips on how to tour the Glass Museum. She also had info on other activities in the area. We enjoyed her lemonade on the patio while talking to some of the other guests. We had a great group - we laughed a lot!

We stayed in Room 3. It was quiet and comfortable. It was well stocked with towels and necessities.I especially liked the private sitting room where you can enjoy a glass of wine or read a book - very relaxing. My mom stayed in Room 1 - she loved the bed and pillows and the fact that she could walk out of her room and watch TV in the shared "living room".

We would highly recommend the Rosewood Inn for your next trip to Corning, NY. I know we'll be back!

Room Tip: Room 3 has a private sitting room.

We took an overnight to visit Corning and the Amazing glass museum. Rosewood Inn is on a quiet street, but just minutes walk to the many shops and restaurants on Market Street. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed very comfy, and Suzanne, a gracious, proactive and welcoming hostess.
There are too many tiny thoughtful details to mention that made our stay very relaxed and comfy. Sue is also an expert on historical glass and is a well-spring of information.
Also, its in a residential neighborhood with many incredible old homes, some converted to offices, which made for a lovely summer evening walk. We'll visit with Sue & Stu next time we hop up to Corning.

ps . . .. Our room had a great separate little sitting room.
