“Only place to stay”
Reviewed 6 July 2012 via mobile

We stayed here to visit the Glass Museum. The museum is worth the trip. The town of Corning however had seen better days and for this reason this is the only decent place to stay. You can walk to everything including the museum from here, it is at the end of the one street that has the few shops and restaurants. Staff are friendly, There is a all indoor pool,
Rooms are good size clean and typical Radisson

Have stayed there on other occasions, but for some reason this time turned out to be the best. The rooms are very well done, excellent beds, (we had a King, which we like the best), nicely updated furnishings, with one minor exception....no full length mirror. Not the end of the world....but otherwise just great.
Breakfast has nice selection, and the service was very attentive, even when we asked for somewhat warmer coffee, it was done....
Now for the part of the front desk ladies.....Having asked if I could use their grand piano for playing my latest composition for my sister, if their piano could be located. Well, it magically appeared in the front lobby, and of course it needed to be connected to an electric outlet, which was another minor challenge, but cheerfully resolved by these ladies. So, I actually got to play on their piano, (did not cause all the guests to leave, which was another bonus) and everyone was quite happy.
The location of the hotel is just a half block from the main shopping and restaurant street of Corning, where among other things you can take a shuttle bus to the Corning Glass Museum...and on it goes.....Certainly recommended.

Spent 2 night here recently. I always like staying at this hotel for its comfort, service, and location. This time I was put in a front room, top floor, that was immaculate. Perfect hotel room for me. VERY comfortable bed. VERY CLEAN. Outlets where I needed them!

Service, as always, was spot on! Friendly, welcoming, and engaging.

Property - has some dated public areas but very well maintained.

i LOVED the black out shade in the room. Have never seen a vertical pull down for such a large window. Worked beautifully.

We stayed over night enroute to Washington, DC. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful, rooms were quiet and clean, although not a fan of their ultramatic mattresses, could not find my "number"! The hotel has a wonderful swimming pool which we used, and the breakfast had a great selection. Would recommend this as a stopping point if you are driving from Canada to NYC or Washington.

Nice hotel - stayed in a newly renovated room and it was fine. Room is nicely appointed and spacious. The sleep number bed is a nice idea but mine was not working but I got a decent nights sleep. People are nice and the food fine. GREAT location to take a walk through downtown Corning and eat or just stroll.

Room Tip: Try and book "Business Class" - not sure how the rest of the rooms are

My husband and son and I spent one night at the Radisson Hotel in Corning New York. We had a very large room that had a queen bed and a sofa bed. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were extremely clean and well-kept. The beds were very comfortable.

The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful and friendly. We were checked in and out quickly. I called housekeeping for extra towels and they were brought promptly within a few minutes. Every time I passed a staff person in the hall, I was greeted with a smile and a "Hello".

That night we explored the charming and historic town of Corning. We had also visited the Corning Museum of glass earlier in the day. Both the museum and the town are well worth a visit.

While my husband and son were getting dressed the next morning, I went to the beautiful lobby and asked whether I could purchase a cup of coffee in the hotel restaurant. I was told that I could help myself to the complimentary coffee they had set up between the lobby and the restaurant (they also had a bowl of fresh apples guests could help themselves to). I really enjoyed sitting and relaxing in that lovey lobby, drinking the excellent coffee and reading a complimentary copy of USA Today.

My family and I had a great stay Corning and we highly recommend the Radisson Hotel!

Room Tip: We had a room on the third floor and found it to be very quiet and comfortable.

The Radisson is located in downtown Corning at the end of Market Street. The Rockwell Western Museum is two blocks away and from there the shuttle bus runs to the Corning Museum of Glass. On Market Street are several pleasant restaurants including the Old World restaurant and ice cream parlor, that has great sandwiches, but closes by 7 pm. There is a brand new Walgreens opposite the hotel in case you forgot anything.

We stayed in the Main Building, which is three stories. The rooms have recently been redone with flatscreen TVs and new carpet, wallpaper and furniture. The lamps in the room are attractive but put out very little light. The airconditioning is effective and reasonably quiet, there is plenty of hot water and the bathrooms, despite being quite small, have all new fixtures and tile.

On Saturday and Sunday morning a buffet breakfast is served with lots of fruit, eggs, bacon, french toast, and good pastries. We ate dinner Friday night at the hotel and were disappointed in some of the food and the service was very slow.

There are two computers in the lobby, which print to a printer behind the front desk. The grounds are landscaped with blooming plants and are quite pleasant .

Room Tip: Since there is a loud band in the restaurant/bar on weekends, I would prefer a room away from the re...
