We arrived at the airport around 6p. We called for the shuttle after getting out bags and had to wait around 50-55 minutes for the shuttle. We were told that we just missed the shuttle. I would suggest calling for the shuttle when you arrive, just to see where the shuttle is at the time. We scheduled the return shuttle to the airport when we checked in. The shuttle left promptly at 8am. So, I think we arrived during a busy time the previous night (a Friday night).

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. Very spacious, modern and clean with a small kitchenette. Very quiet and nice beds.

We asked the front desk about nearby restaurants. They suggested that we order carry out and showed us a large selection of menus. We ended up ordering pasta and sandwiches from a nearby Italian restaurant. The food arrived in 30 minutes and was reasonable and delicious. Ask the front desk for their menus if looking for a quick meal.

Breakfast was good; the typical springhill suites variety of food item. We knew that we had stayed in a nice hotel when we saw the crew from two different airlines sitting next to us at breakfast.

I am so sorry for the long wait at the airport. I know after a long day of traveling the last thing anyone wants to do is wait an extended period for a ride to the hotel. I promise it is rare that anyone waits more than 20 minutes for a ride. However, I am happy to hear the rest of your stay was pleasant and enjoyable. We once again visited NYC to visit our granddaughter in Querns and again stayed at this hotel. The service we received from the valet to the check-in process to housekeeping and breakfast staffs was excellent. We really felt they valued our business. It is convenient to LaGuardia, Citi Field, and the US Open venue and has reasonable ($22 a nite) valet service - unlimited in and out. The hotel lobby and common areas were all clean and the rooms were comfortable, spacious, and clean. Reasonable priced for the area and they have free shuttle to/from the airport. Breakfast, included in room price, was very good. Juice, coffee, tea, ice water, make your own waffles(blueberry or plain), fruit, hot and cold cereals, eggs, French toast, bacon, sausage, and tater tots (these were so so) all very good. Selection of fresh muffins, bagels, and bread to toast. We slept very good and the beds are very comfortable. Great place to stay.

Room Tip: Get one facing the airport and you can watch arrivals and departures.

We stayed here as a result on construction at our house. We were here a total of 7 nights. We were in a suite that was huge-two bedrooms over 600 sq ft. The hotel works hard to maintain a quiet and clean environment. There are many long term residents who leave for work early every day along with airline personnel. The staff is courteous and accomodating. I wish the kitchenette had supplies as we kept having to ask for plates. The only complaint we had was housekeeping forgot us twice and she never wiped down the kitchenette counters.

The hotel was really a pleasure to stay at. The staff was very friendly. The shuttle service was very convenient for us. They brought us to and from Citi Field (saved us a lot of money in cab fare!) The shuttle drivers were very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was nice, the staff kept on refilling all of the pans with hot food.

The room was huge (I stayed in an end room. Great having a small fridge.

If we are ever in need of staying in that area again, we will definitely be back to stay here!

This hotel does not meet the Springhill Marriott standard that I know and love. The housekeeping maintenance was VERY poor. i.e She did not fix the bed, just covered the sheets with the comforter, not vacuuming, not changing towels. Some cabinets had stains inside. The bathroom should be better maintained. Some shuttle buses were unbearably dirty and only one was clean. The odor in the gym was unbearable. The gym was small and smelly. The hotel is in a dirty neighborhood. The environment was not enjoyable AT ALL. At the breakfast buffet, we found hair in the bread, and BE WARNED! Waffles are only served on weekends. Our experience in the Springhill Marriott New York could have been better.

Room Tip: Not an ideal place to stay if you intend to go downtown.

I am very sorry for the issues you encountered and as a frequent traveler myself I completely understand your frustrations. We have addressed all of the issues you brought to our attention. We revisited our room inspection process for better service for our stay over guest. Hairnets have been purchased for breakfast and as of yesterday our NYC health inspector gave us an A rating on the inspection. Again, I am sorry for the inconveniences you encountered but I hope you will consider this stay a one off and will give us another try on your next visit to NYC.

Great rooms, great breakfast. Very convenient to the Mets stadium. There are rooms with better view. The lower floors are looking into residences homes. We've requested to move to a higher floor with no problems.

Rooms were lovely, we were upgraded to the 7th floor. The one disturbing thing was a very strong musty smell in the entire room, like there had been a water problem or wet towel left for some time. i did not bother to mention as we were only there overnight and busy during the day.
