“Great Brick Oven Pizza”
Reviewed 11 February 2012

I was quite impressed with this place during a business trip to Cortland. They had a nice selection of beers including some local brews. The brick oven pizza was top notch. I ordered the Capri and ate every last bite. There are TVs located around the premises in case you want to catch a game. Be sure to stop in the next time you are in town. Four stars because our waitress got my drink order mixed up a couple of times, but other than that... a great experience.

“Great food, great prices, beautiful building renovations”
Reviewed 1 January 2012

Atmosphere/decor is fantastic. Brick theme is well done, elegant and carried throughout the structure, decor, menus, and graphic design. Has a double bar, drink selection is huge, many, many beer choices. Mixed drinks are expertly made and presented. Gourmet pizza is excellent. You can even watch them construct it! Normal size pizza in the restaurant (not talking about take out) is not huge, is more of a medium (so if you have a table of 5, it's good to get 2 or 3 different pizzas and share that and some appetizers because there are so many good ones on the menu to choose from. Drinks and food are reasonably priced, it's a fantastic affordable evening out with friends. Plan ahead when college is in town, it gets packed fast.

“More Than Pub Grub”
Reviewed 16 November 2011

Don't let the name fool you. Brix has outstanding food: great, original pizzas, incredible salads (the Stacked Cobb is my favorite), hearty sandwiches, home made soup and of course, delicious desserts.

Always a great experience!

Was surprised that a small town had such a great little pub! Food and service and atmospher was very good. Was advised that later on the college crowd hangs out here.

“Poor service for takeout”
Reviewed 6 October 2011

We ordered takeout from Brix. They didn't get a single part of our three-person order correct. It took far longer than the amount of time that they stated it would, and then when it was ready, it was cold and soggy. The garlic sauce for the chips was missing from all orders. We ordered two eggplant parm dinners and got CHARGED for them, but were given two half eggplant parm subs. We didn't discover this until we got home. We called to ask them to refund the difference ($7) onto our credit card, which they said they couldn't do and they would send a guy over with the change. The guy didn't arrive until 10:30 PM, 1 1/2 hours later, after I was in bed. He gave my spouse the wrong change ($4) and didn't seem to know anything about the problem. He just said that we should call the restaurant again. Needless to say, after so many hours of hassle, we didn't not call them back again. Also, their "handmade" fabulous-sounding veggie burger is nothing more than an overpriced Morningstar Farms burger. It will be a long time before I order from them again, if ever.
