“Awesome Place!”
Reviewed 20 August 2013

The website did not do this place justice! What a wonderful getaway!! We felt like we hit the jackpot when we arrived. This very special b&b is set on 2 acres of land. The most beautiful gardens that I have ever seen! We just wanted to stay there the entire time and not even go into town. The room was so cute and quaint. The breakfast was a 3 course meal! I can't say enough about the Blue Iris. Not to mention, the hosts Lorry and Jerry were so accommodating and nice. We can't wait to go back in the future!

Room Tip: The hydrangea room was very pretty, light, and airy.

We stayed here for the nights of Aug. 11 & 12. It was perfect in every way-we couldn't have asked for more! Upon arriving we were greeted by Lorry and given an introduction to the B & B and the area, along with a personally inscribed bottle of wine from a local winery. When asked what we wanted to do and we replied "just relax", Lorry produced a tray of cheese and crackers to enjoy with our wine. Lorry & Jerry are the perfect hosts. They had lots of tips about places to visit and eat, and they made us feel at home without being intrusive. The breakfasts were the best I ever experienced, along with enjoyable conversation with the other guests. The grounds are beautiful, and the gardens absolutely amazing. You are free to wander and enjoy the property as you wish. Can't wait to visit again!

We stayed here on Sunday, August 11. Lori and Jerry are great hosts, very, very personable and informative about the area and things to do. Beautiful home and property, which you are encouraged to walk around and enjoy. Plus, the welcome bottle of wine from a local vineyard with your names hand painted on the bottle is very cool !!! Great breafast and conversation to start the day. So looking forward to our next visit.

From the moment you contact them to when you leave, every detail is thought of. You are welcome, spoiled, treated like royalty. In addition I have never saw a place so well-kept.
You feel like you went to your favorite Aunt and Uncle at their beautiful country house.

Super!! Attentive! A group of us 'gals' do a reunion each summer and we found the Blue lris online... dubbed a gals PJ party, we had the entire lower level to ourselves, and the space was amazing. Huge rooms, efficiency, games, big screen, bar, just perfect. The hosts were so very sweet and went the extra mile in every regard. Gardens spectacular, front porch idyllic. Love to return to stay in another room!

The Blue Iris is absolutely beautiful. Our entire experience was one that won't be forgotten. The house and the grounds are immaculate and you'll often find yourself in awe of it all. The rooms are cute, with a decorating job that gives it almost an old-world field. a very nice touch with the fireplace. Our hosts Lorry and Jerry were just as lovely, their breakfasts delicious, and were so very welcoming, really made us feel at home. We will definitely be back for our next weekend getaway out east.

Immaculate both inside and out. The Blue Iris is a quite getaway featuring two exquisitely landscaped acres, expansive rocking chair porch, rooms decorated with attention to detail, fireplace and private bath with jacuzzi in each room, and a scrumptious breakfast made with fresh eggs from the hen house. The innkeepers, Lorry and Jerry, were welcoming and friendly from the very start, taking the utmost care in anticipating our every need and handling the most minute details with insurmountable efficiency and love. Our stay at the Blue Iris was perfect from beginning to end.

Room Tip: All three rooms are spectacular. We stayed in the Hollyhock room which had a four poster bed and Ame...
