Lorry and Jerry couldn't be better hosts. The Blue Iris Bed and Breakfast is in a beautiful location in Cutchogue on the North Fork of Long Island, and is accessible to beautiful beaches and vineyards (which Lorry and Jerry are happy to recommend for you). My girlfriend and I visited in the offseason (in March) of 2013 and were treated like family. Breakfast was delicious, the bedroom was clean and homey, and the premises stately. Plus, the other visitors were friendly and lively conversation at the breakfast table. When we briefly lost hot water, Lorry and Jerry were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond accommodating by offering us a discount on our next stay.

It's important to support the welcoming, small B&B's that make the North Fork great, and it's hard to find a better option than Blue Iris.

Room Tip: There are few rooms in the Blue Iris B&B, and all are lovely, quiet, and well-maintained. You ca...

My husband and I had a wonderful three day stay with another couple this past weekend. This was our fourth time in the area and we had stayed at three different B & Bs in the past. On our last trip we saw the Blue Iris and fell in love with the outside grounds which are spectacular. From the beginning when we booked our stay Lorry was wonderful and inviting. She makes you feel at home! When we got there and met Jerry we were equally welcomed. We had many nights sitting outside on the wrap around porch just relaxing with our friends in addition to getting to know Lorry and Jerry. They are wonderful.
The inside of the house is beautiful and so tastefully decorated. The rooms are spacious and accommodating. The beds are very comfortable. There is an extra room with a coffee center and mini fridge stocked with drinks.
Lorry and Jerry were very helpful with suggesting restaurants, arranging for the limo on Saturday and being the best hosts we have had on the North Fork.
Last but not least, we had amazing breakfasts! There was always a delicious starter, main course, and sweet. Lorry uses the freshest ingredients and adds herbs from her garden. We look forward to returning in the future.

Where do I begin when singing the Blue Iris' praises - the perfect balance of elegance & casual, the most gracious hosts, well appointed guest rooms (with own bathroom, wi-fi & cable television), delicious breakfast and gorgeous grounds. The prefect place for a romantic getaway!

Room Tip: All three guest rooms are unique and lovely. I would be happy staying in any one of them.

Our second year at this lovely Inn, the rooms are gorgeous and clean, the landscaping is meticulously cared for, with secret pockets and gardens and hidden treasures, including chickens! The huge and delicious breakfast was awesome, kept us full til dinner. Can't say enough about the hosts' warmth and attention to detail.

A lovely setting. The grounds are green and restful, and the rooms are a nice size. My room was immaculate and cozy. The breakfasts were delicious and the hosts take very good care of you. In the evening guests can sit outside, enjoy the stars, and be warmed by a fire.

what a gem!!! 1st time at a b&b and I am officially hooked. Beautiful property, so clean, gourmet breakfast, and most importantly the couple who own and occupy were amazing. Rebooking as I speak with our husbands.

We stayed in the hydrangea room for our anniversary. It was absolutely beautiful! The hosts are lovely, and the home is stunning. We went in March, so not much plant growth happening, but the grounds are beautifully maintained, and I would imagine amazing in season. Would love to take the ride out there just to see it in full bloom. Very close to wineries. Pretty walk, so you don't have to worry about driving. Would definitely go back!
