Based on a recommendation, we took the scenic drive up the east side of Keuka Lake and found this adorable winery/vineyard! On Saturdays in the summer they are open late (8pm) with live music starting at 5pm, we were perfectly situated, a gorgeous view of the lake and wonderful music to taste wine to. Since our guests had never been to any of the Finger Lakes, this was a terrific place start to introduce them to the beauty of Upstate NY and taste the regional wines. Delicious! The staff is great. The tasting arrangement is different that other vineyard where they have picnic tables to sit at and you are served the 5 wines of your choice from an extensive list. They have a little complimentary snack plate but we ordered baked brie (buttery and creamy delight)with fresh fruits of the season and a spinach parmesan pesto. The winery has 2 variety of wines with vines from the Georgia Region so that was a MUST taste instead of the usual Rieslings, Cayuga Whites and Cab Franc's of the region. Rkatsiteli-Sereksiya (50-50 blend of each grape). Wonderful! perfect white wine for a summer day, not too sweet but more body than say a Pino Gris. Our last taste was the Russian Red, a blend of Sereksiya and Saperavi grapes, their most expensive of the wines. Perfect for a hearty stew in the winter, earthy in taste. That must be tasted as it is unique to the the region. Then they have their specialty, the Rob Roy, a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. I will definitely be back just for the wonderful views of the lake, the relaxed atmosphere and terrific service. I loved the idea of sitting and enjoying the wines instead of standing and pushing for service at a tasting "bar". Well worth the drive! but........ they do not have indoor plumbing, out-house by the vineyard.
