Excellent staff at all hours, on all shifts. Very helpful with recommendations for meals, transpo, etc. Only drawback is that it is expensive and/or a little time consuming to get in and out of the city. But overall a great value - would stay here again!

While staying at the nearby Hampton Inn without a car, it was convenient to walk across the parking lot to the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel. They had a lovely, quiet bar off the lobby with snacks to go along with drinks.

On my recent NY business trip I landed at the LaGuardia airport with limited time to get to the hotel before my meeting. I found there are several hotels just across the street from the airport - this one was the least expensive one, since they were running a special promotion at that time. The hotel is about average, decent quality for all the furnishings, everything you would expect from your regular business hotel. The breakfast was nothing special, fruit was sorely lacking from the selection, but there are places close by to get a better breakfast. Did not take other meals at the hotel, so perhaps they do better for lunch or dinner. Clean and good experience overall - I would definitely recommend it, if you can get it at $100 or less. If you pay more, I think you get a better deal for your money elsewhere. Free shuttle to the airport is nice, but the fact they also run a free shuttle to the subway would make me come back.

We had to stay unexpectedly at this hotel recently on a trip to New York due to flight cancellations in LaGuardia. The irony is that if we had seen some of the reviews in advance we would have probably avoided it. We were happy to get somewhere to stay at short notice.
We were pleasently surprised by the efficiency and friendliness of the staff particularly as there were a lot of people arriving having had flights cancelled. Our room was spacious and clean but probably could do with a make over. We were able to eat at the bar on arrival which was fine if a little slow, which was understandable due to the late influx of a lot of tired, hungry and frustrated travellers to the hotel (due to the situation in LaGuardia). The bar staff performed admirably under the circumstances. We had a good breakfast for $5 each. The guy at front desk in charge of transport etc was particularly helpful.
If you are transiting New York avoid LaGuardia. More than 12 flights were cancelled due to bad weather???

The Bellman was enthusiastic, energetic and helpful. Lisa at the front desk was very helpful as well. She found us a room even though we were way too early for check in and gave us lots of information for our stay - which was the DDMS Family Reunion. The next day Lorraine was attentive to our needs and provided us valuable insight into the surrounding area. Honestly, I love New York and these great people made it an excellent memorable stay.
