“used to be better”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

We like to dine at Cracker Barrel aboust every 2 months or so. The last 3 times we were there were not smooth dining experiences. I don't know if its poor management or just that we happened to have bad luck. the first was that we had a brand new waitress who tried hard but screwed up our order, the second time we ordered and the food showed up a half hour later ...............cold. The waitress explained that the cook had been a no call no show and the manager was doing the cooking. I really don't think a place that size only has one cook working per shift. The last time we were there we ordered country fried steaks, me with mac and cheese , my wife with rice piafe(?). the food showed up without the rice dish and it was explained to us that it was still cooking. When it did show up it was gloop. I didn't know you could overcook rice that badly......pure starch. It's a shame because we used to enjoy going there, but 3 strikes and you're out.

“Take Out is Wonderful”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

We were staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites next to the Cracker Barrel and wanted to relax in our room. Take out was a great choice. It was prepared in less than 10 minutes while we waited in the Cracker Barrel store. I had the grilled trout with three vegetable options. My wife had the chicken tenders. Everything was fresh and hot. What a great option to dining in.

“Cracker Barrel”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

It's a Cracker Barrel, good homey food. The only problem we had is that my husband is a tea drinker and they were out of Black Teas (ie: English Breakfast) they only had flavored type like Earl Grey-- This is the second Cracker Barrel we have visited the other was in NJ that was out of tea. Other than that the service was very good as was the food.

“Typical Cracker Barrel visit”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

We were seated after less than a 5 minute wait. Staff was extremely polite. There was some slight confusion over what came with our meals, but the waiter was very polite and apologetic. As most times at a Cracker Barrel, the place was busy. The food was tasty. They've changed their menu since we last visited, and now feature more "healthy" selections. We miss some of the previous, albeit probably "unhealthy", items!
