The Applebee's on Rt. 4 in East Greenbush (NY) is actually on the E/N Greenbush Town line. If memory serves me right, Applebee's opened here around 1998-99. And, it has recently had a very nice make-over.
Three of us from the FD have been here for lunch for just about every Friday since 2002. While we're down to just the 2 of us now, the food, service, and ambiance are still great.... and we will still keep our Friday "rendez-vous".
When we walk in and our usual table is already set up for us. Our wait-person, Eileen, knows what we usually have...but she always asks. The Mgr. always stops by to say "hell-0" even though we're regular Friday fixtures. This time out (3/14) we got to meet the District Manager..Mr. Carey. We assured him that we've had just about every type of lunch on the menu at onetime or another. And, everything is A-OK all the time.... good food, good service, and reasonable prices.
Another plus is that Applebee's will work you if you are bringing in a large group. Some nights after the Tuesday FD drill, members from several area FD"s come in for a late night snack. We're always welcome and that's a good thing.
To sum it all up, this is a very nice place to visit whether you're by yourself, with friends, or with family.
