My family and I stayed two nights here, in the large private "suite" last week. The suite was spacious and well appointed. The bedroom was very comfy and cozy and the kids stayed on the living room pull out and an air mattresss we brought. The bathroom was large, but had an unclean odor about it.
The countryside was beautifual and it was, as others have said, restful, peaceful, and not too far away from the action of Cooperstown. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
A few minor points I wasn't happy with: We were never greeted warmly or engaged in a conversation by the owners that others have made such a fuss about. I found them, esp. the wife, to be pretty business like and cool. I was checked in proptly with a very businesslike efficiency, not engaged in any conversation, and was treated the same when I went back to pick up a brochure. I was not made to feel comfortable hanging in the office/lounge at all, rather rushed to get out. Breakfast was a crowded and rushed affair with not even close to enough seating to accomodate everyone who naturally comes down for breakfast all at once. I ended up sitting on a couch juggling my plate and coffee, and my kids sat on the floor at a coffee table. Not ideal. The food was fine, nothing special, though to be fair I didn't have a waffle.
I just didn't feel "the love" that others here have raved about. It was a perfectly fine inn, but nothing to write home about. Maybe we just caught them (again, mostly her) on a bad couple days. Oh well.
