The Woodruff House Bed and Breakfast
Reviewed 19 July 2011

This was our 7 or 9th stay at the Woodruff House - we use it as a home base when dropping our son off/picking him up at nearby Camp Dudley. Woodruff House is adorable, with every room a bit different than the other. Kristin keeps the house immaculate and her breakfasts are wonderful!! One of these days we'll plan better, stay longer and take advantage of the surrounding area for hiking, etc.

The Woodruff House is a very pleasant place to stay! Each detail has been thought out and incorporated into the B&B theme perfectly. The cleanliness deserves the highest rating available! Although we stayed only one evening, this is a place to come and relax for several! A good book, while relaxing on the porch, is all it would take! Kristien and Jim are very welcoming, interesting, low key (while still always paying attention to the needs of the visitors) and kind.
Take some time and stop in! You will be glad you did!

Room Tip: You can't go wrong with any of the rooms!

A stunning building, large rooms, wonderful interiour decoration, a huge breakfast. We planned to be there for two days and stayed for a week. A cristal-clear river borders the property. Large DVD collection for rainy days. Kristen and Jim are wonderful hosts, not only for giving us some good hints on where to go. We will certainly return.

We spent five days with Kristen and Jim and enjoyed every moment. Her attention to details was right on without being overwhelming. Her breakfasts are delicious and she was crowned the breakfast queen by our 2 teenage boys. We enjoyed the character of this beautiful house, but we also enjoyed relaxing in the cozy living room area, with the cats purring as we watched movies after skiing all day at Whiteface.
We highly recommend this b&b, one of the best bed and breakfasts in our experience.

Kris and Jim made us right at home. We've been back now several times and each time there's been something lovely and memorable -- a fire by the firepit, a quiet afternoon sitting in the sunny garden, a relaxing evening on the porch. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable and the breakfast is simply amazing. The innkeepers are ready with great recommendations for local dinner spots or day trips.

We stayed overnight on our way to Montreal. Kristen is a gracious and lovely hostess and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. The breakfast was superb. Kristen and Jim go out of their way to make you feel at home in their lovely inn. They even mailed me back my IPOD that I left there by mistake. Would highly recommend a stay there.

Just spent a fantatstic weekend at the Woodruff House with hosts Kris & Jim. It was a wonderful place to be able to relax and enjoy the surrounding Adirondack park. The wonderfully restored home is beatufil and so relaxing. I enjoyed throwing the frisbee around the spacious yard w/ my 12 yr old nephew (kids are very welcome), smores from the backyard campfire and unbelievable breakfast each morning. A great place to be able to get away and relax.
