Last weekend 8 of us spent a great weekend celebrating my best friends birthday. We had 2 beautiful rooms with great views. The staff was totally accomadating even finding vases for the tulips we brought. That weekend was beautiful we spent it drinking cocktails by the pool and hot tub, which the guys loved. We could not get over the beauty of the place golf courses to ski slopes. The town as usual was quaint and friendly. Had a wonderful time and we all agreed we would be back to sit and enjoy. Thank you for helping us make some great memories for this special ocassion.

Great 3 day get a way with the kids. Easy to get to and this particular lodging was at the heart of the slope & lifts. For this very reason, would recommend. I was under the impression 2 queen beds were in our room, but ended up being 1 bed with a pullout couch. Not impressed with that especially for the price charged. Ran out of paper towel, Kleenex and had to go looking for fresh towels. Room service came at 4 pm, but we were already back from the slopes. They should have come while we were out, so we could come in to a fresh room. Restaurant on site was good so was the underground parking. Kind of pricing for what you actually got but everything at March break is. Town is quaint & has a good diner called Katy's . Weather was very good for skiing but not the greatest on last day for walking around the town . Perhaps a trip in the summer months to really get a good look. All in all, everyone had a good time .

We stayed here for five days to ski and to snowboard. The lifts are right outside the hotel, and there's ski/snowboard storage in the hotel so you don't have to grab your gear from your car every day. The hill itself is pretty good, and the conditions were good for spring skiing. The last day we were there, there was a big winter storm that dropped around 30 cm of snow on the hill, so the conditions were very good. There's a variety of runs that's good for every skill level. The terrain parks are awesome. There's literally no wait at ANY of the chairlifts, at least when we were there. The length of the runs is also very good for a hill in the east. As for the rooms, they were large and comfortable. They had kitchenettes and were very spacious. The couch sets up as a pullout bed, and it wasn't the most comfortable, but that was a minor flaw to an otherwise good room. The service is okay. We had some problems with scheduling things, but it was understandable due to the many people that were staying at the Tamarack and the storm that hit Ellicottville. Make sure to not only explore the resort but visit the wonderful downtown area that Ellicottville has to offer.

Room Tip: The hallways can be loud with the many ski boots and snowboard boots stomping down it. Try and get a...

We had such poor service. We tried to extend our stay by one night and were told that this was possible. When we did not receive a new confirmation within two days, we called to ensure everything was in place. Apparently, the owner of the unit was staying there so they gave us another room. We were told that we would have to check out at 10 am and then not be able to check back in until 4 pm. We would then be checked into the new room. This was very disappointing as the main reason to pay the higher price was to have access to our room.
Upon arriving we discovered that the sofa bed was broken, so the head of the bed was on a steep incline. Someone came to fix it, but as we were sleeping it broke again and the people sleeping on it had their heads crash. We called down at midnight...we were told that we could wake the rest of our family up and move to a new room. However, there were ongoing problems with these beds and they couldn't guarantee that this bed wouldn't have the same problem. Apparently, they are in the process of fixing the beds. We asked to have someone fix it. No one was there to do so. We asked for the tools so we could fix it. We couldn't have them. We asked for a mattress to sleep on the floor. There wasn't one. We asked if the people who were still asleep could stay on the murphy bed and the other two people move to the room with the other murphy bed. We could do this for an additional $300. We folded up the broken bed and were left to sleep on the floor. When we asked if we could have a later check out, we were told that the manager would get back to us in the morning. This didn't help at all...the point was to try and have a little extra sleep after being up until one in the morning fixing the bed!
In the morning, the manager was simply rude. He told us that he had been called at midnight to help solve the problem, so he was tired. Hum, at least he didn't have to pay $300. He also proceeded to tell us that this was a maintenance issue, not his issue. He allowed us an extra hour four check out, but it did little to help solve the problems with the terrible night. We decided not to stay at the resort for the rest of our stay. We moved down the road where we had a wonderful stay!
The skiing at this resort is AMAZING, but we will never stay here again.

Our family of 5 stayed 2 nights during President's Week and enjoyed the close proximity to 3 lifts with ski valet service. It was more expensive than the Westin at Blue Mountain as we needed 2 rooms at $300 each but it was nice to keep our teens in their own space. On arrival at 1 pm, both rooms were ready and there was space in the underground parking garage. Our room had a nice view of the ski hill and was modern and clean. We got a great discount on lift tickets by purchasing them at the hotel desk and 2 boys skiied free for 3 days. The lift ticket deal does not start until 2:30 so just as well that we did not get there too early. Lift lines were very short, the runs were long and with 5 terrain parks, our boarders were in heaven.

Dinner was at John Harvards Brew Pub in the hotel both nights and it was convenient to put our name in and be phoned in our room when our table was ready. The atmosphere was relaxing and the view of the hill was spectacular. Highly recommend the pizza, the beer samplers, appetizers with big portions.

The indoor/outdoor pool was a little disappointing as the indoor portion is little more than stairs into the pool and could have been a little warmer. The hot tubs were good but could get pretty crowded.

We had cereal and milk in our room for breakfast each day as there is no breakfast place inside the hotel but had a fridge so we saved a little cash. There is a Tops grocery store close by in town where we stocked up. Checkout is 10 am with no late checkout allowed so was a little tough to wake the teens.

Overall, the skiing was great and the location perfect for our family ski trip.

Room Tip: top floor with slopeside view

The Tamarack Club is a wonderful place to stay in Ellicottville, They have the friendliest staff out of anywhere I have been and large room with great amenities and the service is exceptional. Upon arrival we had a seamless check-in, our room was not yet ready so we hit the hill straight away. once we returned from the hill we were able to hand our equipment over to their storage room as soon as you enter. When we got back to our room the valet guy, Duke, had placed all of our luggage into the room nicely and even put our groceries and beer in the fridge without being asked! We went into the relaxing hot tub for a bit before hitting the hill a second time, on the second time out I had banged up my knee pretty badly and was not able to go the following day because of it. We were worried because we had paid for 2 days up front for the lift tickets as well as equipment rental for myself. The hotel ended up refunding the day we weren't able to take advantage of due to my knee and I even got comped an equipment rental for next time. This was exceptional customer service and because of this, we will be returning.

Another great perk is they take Canadian currency @ par! Overall it was a great stay at Tamarack Club :)

While staying at Tamarack Club in February, we received excellent customer service from Joe and Shawn who brought us plastic cups to drink from in the hot tub (as we were drinking out of glass and shouldn't be I'm pool area). Thank you!!

On the other hand, very slow service from John Harvard's for brunch Sunday, as if they weren't prepared for a crowd at that time. (Greater than 10 mins to come to table to say hello).
