Durf's can be a little hard to find. I had breakfast there and there was quite a selection of regular menu items and specials. The waitstaff was very accommodating and patient with 3 young kids. Their prices are very reasonable. It is a great, homey feeling place.

Maybe it's just because I was in Alaska this summer, or maybe it's all the hunting and fishing photos and mounts on the walls - Durf's feels like a hometown restaurant in Alaska. But forget the decor for a minute - Durf's makes a better breakfast than you'll get at most five-star hotels. There are eggs and omelets cooked to perfection, creative pancake combinations, and toasted homemade bread with homemade jam which could be a breakfast by itself. I love the self-serve coffee, or the waitresses will serve your coffee if you prefer. Durf's is open only for breakfast and lunch.

I have lived in Fairport for almost 40 years and have always enjoyed Durf's.
You can get great breakfasts and lunches there and the prices are reasonable.
The servers are very congenial and accommodating. My wife loves to go there and has taken pictures of the animal heads on the walls to send to her snooty sister in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
Try their soups! The chili is homemade and excellent! I wish they were open for dinner!

Mostly everything was solid. We got the Whammy which was solid. Good bacon, ham and eggs. Coulda used a little more flavor but it was definitely worth getting. Coffee, milk, muffins were good. The hash brown was average, home fries were below average.

Breakfast at Durf's is such a really nice experience. I can get my own cup of coffee to start (or wait a little for the wait staff - who will always top you off during the meal). They have a great specials board that my wife took advantage of with the stuffed blueberry french toast. I had a basic cheese omelet with homemade sausage and homemade wheat toast. How they make these perfect omelets never fails to impress me. This is bare bones place with simple furnishings, but the food is top notch. Never, EVER fails to fill us with great food at a very good price.
