This is the last night of a 13 night stay for me. I have never been away from my wife and kids for this long before, and all of the staff here at The Woodcliff have honestly made being away quite a bit easier.

Colleen and Chris at the front desk were fantastic to me. If I needed it, they took care of it. Period.

Horizons Lounge made it so that I didn't have to go anywhere else for food or fun. Live music, great food.....make sure to stop in and see Andy and Christy at the bar. You will not find a nicer, more attentive staff anywhere in the Rochester area. Second. To. None.

Woodcliff consistently delivers spacious clean rooms, excellent spa and fitness center, great bar, great food, and most important of all very attentive staff that truly understand customer service, and deliver it. This trip I was solo, but also come once or twice a year with family, and we have always been treated well. For a few years, the rooms and carpeting were looking old and shabby. However updates have resulted in very nice, elegant rooms.
Only complaint I had with room was that the hotel literature and instructions in the room were outdated. TV listings completely wrong, and the hours given for spa and fitness center were incorrect, but this was only time the hotel disappointed.
I do recommend asking for a room as far from the elevators as possible. The doors are thin, and you can hear "hall traffic". Especially if you are there with families in town for youth athletic tournaments.
My kids love the pool and the Fitness center is a giant step up from the average hotel fitness room.

Can't wait to get back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that looks West, the side away from the parking lot and main entrance. Great views to the North of Rochester Skyline and South of Genesee River Valley. Rooms down the halls away from elevator are quieter!

I spent 3 nights at this favorite hotel after staying away for a few years. They've done significant updating and renovating to the property which was long overdue. The Oriental Suite where I stayed is absolutely gorgeous. The bathroom is to die for. I was so reluctant to leave the luxurious comforts of this room.

Pros: Spacious, quiet suite. Lovely furnishings, hardwood floors, comfortable bed, spacious closet, complimentary bathrobe and slippers, huge TV, super fast internet, small fridge, sink and microwave in the kitchenette area. Amazing bathroom with round shower with multiple jets and rainshower heads, big soaking tub.

Minor cons: Needs more hooks or bars to hang towels to dry in the bathroom. A few bugs (wasp, ladybug, ground beetle) found their way into the room and, on an evening of heavy rain, water leaked through one of the windows. The renovations to the property are a big improvement compared to the last time I stayed here, but the windows need to be replaced too.

All in all a great place to stay. The location is lovely. There are various shops and a big shopping mall within 5 mins drive. The on site restaurant is also very good. Staff is very friendly. Definitely will be back.

We spent a getaway night at Woodcliff a few weeks ago to celebrate a BIG birthday. The suite was gorgeous with a view out over the Genesee Valley. The maître d was so nice a helpful to get us a special table by the window, again with that great view. Breakfast was a sumptuous buffet (a bit expensive, but delicious). After that, I enjoyed a spa package that included a wrap, massage, facial, and mini mani/pedi. This is one of the nicest hotels in Rochester. Try it!

Room Tip: Get a room with a view west. Also a dinner table by the windows.
