“Great location and option for one night or extended stay!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

My daughter and I spent one night here in June 2014 while on a college road trip. Great accessible location near the interstate, but it's situated in an office park so very quiet at night. Nice hot breakfast buffet with good choices, including a made-to-order omelet bar. Spacious room with comfortable king bed. Room had TV with DVD player, microwave, and mini fridge. There's a Walmart right across street, as well as lots of food options (chains and others) in the immediate vicinity and within a few miles.

Ten to 15 miles north on Route 9 is the Culinary Institute of America, the Hudson River waterfront in Poughkeepsie (great for a picnic!), Hyde Park, the FDR Home and Presidential Library, the Vanderbilt Mansion and much more.

Stayed at this hotel for five nights while attending West Point Graduation. Could not have been more pleased. The only suggestion is that they need more and better signage so the location is easier the first time there.

Room Tip: We were on the end of the top floor which was quiet and comfortable

My wife and I stayed at the Fishkill Hyatt for two nights because of its central location for things to do in the hudson valley. All the help at the hotel was very nice. The rooms were very spacious and well appointed, especially the suites with full kitchen. Indoor pool/hot tub was very nice and clean and under utilized by guests. Complementary breakfast was great, the food selection was great, with hot foods and omelette station. Would recommend hotel if in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back or side of the hotel so do not overlook the walmart across the street.

We traveled a long distance and was looking forward to staying at the HH. Came in around 8:30 that evening. Greeted with "no" friendly upbeat personality. Their smiles seemed forced. When we checked in we had 8 people and three suites reserved for us. Our reservations were made a year earlier and were held on a credit card. Front desk never mentioned where our rooms were or the elevators or even the bell hop carts or any of their amenities. I had to ask! We were very tired and just needed some guidance. Only offered to help after we struggled with the cart and my mom in a wheelchair, 4 small children and they still didn't seem concerned and just stared and one walked away from desk. The kids were well behave and quiet. We had busy West Point schedules for our graduating cadet, I mentioned that other family members will check into their rooms later. The next evening and only seconds/minutes before my sister and brother in law walked in for the last room being held for their daughter's who arrive that day. They had reserved 5 suites total and they had already been staying there for days, but only were coming and going very early and very late had just lost their last room to the guy in front of them in line. Front desk clerk had no concern what so ever.. but told us no more rooms were available and they were going to be charged a cancelation fee. The day before when we checked in I did ask for a manager and she was standing just behind the divider wall when all this was going on with the staff member. We had certain rooms my sister wanted us to use, so it could have been confusing at first. She was friendly and helpful at first. And a few minutes later I had to come back down to return the cart and she ask if there was a bunch of people in one of our rooms? That someone complained of stomping noise and their children were trying to sleep. I said only my sister in law and 4 children in a two bedroom suite. The mgr actually called the room and spoke to my nephew and even went to the room only minutes after we got into the rooms. She said that the room below complained about pounding on the floor?? We just checked in. Suitcases and walking into the room. Kids at 8:30? The manager should have known this? She seen us check in. I'm sure it was a little loud for a few minutes. The next day the breakfast bar was good. Low on a lot of stuff though. Didn't see anyone working it. The following day we did. The omelet chef a young African American woman was super friendly and nice. You bus your own tables though. But overall the food was good and we were very pleased to have a nice breakfast. The pool however was dirty looking around the edges of the spa. Mold looking grout. Weak jets. The floor protector to keep you from slipping would hurt your feet to walk on it. The towels were so small and stiff only a kid could you. We have stayed in a hotel nearby before and their pool facilities had big plush towels and a spa that the jets worked very well in and clean and very nice setting too. The Hyatt house has nice suites but the front desk staff those evening's did not show the hospitality a upscale place like that should have. A helpfull caring personality. And the same manager a day or two later was smoking outside in front of the lobby sitting on the curb. Not professional for this type of place I would think. Not trying to disrespect the hotel, I just wanted to feel a inviting nice relaxing visit with a very special event and seeing the President of the United States was one a great side bonus. Go army! Beat navy!

I stayed here for a wedding in the area, and it was a great stay. The location is super convenient to I-84 and a lot of chain stores/restaurants in case you need to pick up items. The front desk staff was very welcoming and efficient. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I do wish they included shower gel and a few more toiletries in the room. I would definitely stay there again when in the area.

We were visiting family and exploring this area of New York for five days. We stayed all five of those at this fantastic hotel. It is a new hotel with beautiful lobby and rooms. We had a king suite which worked well with three adults. There was a complete kitchen including dishes and complimentary coffee that we used during our stay. There was a super Walmart across the street for food and drink items we needed. The bed was comfortable but the sofa bed was not which is typical. The free wifi was fast. The hotel is situated in a commercial area near the highway but it was quiet and we heard nothing to disrupt our sleep. Lots of restaurants and a Starbucks near-by.

The complimentary breakfast, including made to order omelet bar, was delicious and included hot items and freshly made oatmeal with toppings. They serve Starbucks coffee. We used the pool and exercise room which had a variety of equipment including treadmills with TV.

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor and enjoyed the convenience.

This was a busy weekend in the area. Our stay here was great. Check in was smooth and the room was clean and quiet. Hotel is located near business park with several other hotels. Sleep quality was excellent- bedding, tired?? Bathroom is well laid out. Shower was fine, but not fancy. Water was wet and hot. Carpet in Room 336 has a few wrinkles and needs to be re-stretched.
Breakfast is better than average, but should have started earlier due to area activities. Breakfast area can get crowded. The staff was busy keeping up, but did a good job.
Room was more expensive than usual, as all area hotels raise their rates during busy weekends. No minimum stay was required- great.
