We had a great Sunday afternoon at the ball park watching the Mets play the Phillies. A lovely newish park. Opened in 2009. We caught the subway (7 train) to Willets Point. The stadium in right there. Hotdogs, burgers and beers. Step right this way.

My small bag, that CAN be worn as a backpack, was not allowed because “no backpacks at all”. Yankees, Giants, Diamondbacks, White Sox, Rockies, Bay Rays, never was the small bag a problem. Until today at the Mets.
It wasn’t made clearly that backpacks (look-a-likes) are not allowed and when I was waiting in line and spoke to an employee from citi field, he said NOTHING about my bag. No, you can wait for a long time in line and then 2 important people tell you that your bag cant be taken inside.
I think there may be lockers, but you have to pay for it and I’m not entering the citi field with my sanitary towels and tampons waving in my hands. Dear Mets, follow the guidelines of the other stadiums and don’t treat people that pay 100 dollars like sh**t.

I’ve been to a lot of baseball games and stadiums, and citi field is on of my favorites. The Mets are very fan oriented and give back to their fans with many promotions and games that go on during the game. Citi field also has very good food. They have shake shack, do, wowfuls, and many other things all inside the stadium. Great place to watch baseball.

We were on a tour of major league ball parks across the country and this stadium is one of the best. The seats angle toward the in field for great viewing everywhere. Great selection of food but a little on the high side… but then this is New York! Nacho’s at the Goya stand is great. The pastrami sandwich at the food stand by section 124 is off the hook. Ask for the extra cut off scraps and they will load up your plate of tasty pastrami. Good beer selection. The large corridors makes it easy to move around the park. The score board was fantastic.

This is a great stadium. It is very fan friendly. There is something to do for all ages. I go here a few times a year and always have a good time. They have great food. You should check it out if your in the NY area or are a baseball fan who wants to check out a new place.
