I stayed at the Parc Hotel in Flushing this past weekend. The beds were very comfortable and the views of the Manhattan were breathtaking. I've been to Flushing before, and I love the Asian culture and food. But this hotel seemed to not do anything for the non-Asian . Breakfast was very foreign to me. All I wanted was a bagel or bread. They did have cereal, which was good. Fruit would've been nice instead of pickled vegetables and black eggs. Maybe offer a variety for all walks of life... Thank goodness they had English speaking staff. I would have gone crazy!

Next Time I go back to Flushing, I'll stay at the Marco. Nicer rooms and not so Asian-centric

Hello Erin,
Thank you for posting your review. I feel horrible that you did not enjoy your stay. Breakfast is definitely one of our biggest projects right now, as we just opened. Your feedback is so important.

I hope you give us a second chance the next time you are in the area. Please do, before moving on to the Marco!

Thank you, and we hope to see you again!

First let me stay by staying that this hotel is NOT NEW. It may have just reopened but definitely not new. It may have been recently renovated but the renovations were not done well.

I noticed that the hotel was not new as soon as I stepped on the elevator and noticed scratch marks, scuffs and dirty recessed lights in it. The room was decent but showed its age and the lack of detail during the renovation. I quickly noticed paint on the carpet which must have occurred when the room was being repainted. The bathroom was the most disgusting with an old bathtub/ shower that showed scratches, peeling paint in the tub, and mildew in the tiles. There was also dirty mildew on the outside of the tub, near it on the floor. The bed however was quite comfortable. The pillows were fluffy and I had a good night's sleep. But here we go again with shades that did not open all the way bc the track was broken. Ugh.

The complimentary breakfast may have been good for some but I did not enjoy it. There was no traditional breakfast but only Chinese cuisine like rice, dumpling and other items I was unsure of. When I asked an employee what it was, she indicated that she did not know. Smh

Before you stay as an out of towner, you should be aware that this is located in China town and is geared towards a Chinese traveler. Most of the employees did not speak English well and I was surprised that so many tv channels were Chinese speaking. The only other highlight, aside from the need, is the fact that it is near a shopping center. It's in waking distance of a Target (Starbucks), Applebees, 5 guys and other stores.

Again this may very well work for some, especially those of Chinese descent, but it did not work for me.

Dear NeatFreak25,
Thank you for taking the time to post a review, I feel horrible that you did not enjoy your stay at all. We are definitely a brand new building built from the ground up. We have addressed your concerns with ownership, as it seems there are still residuals from actual construction workers.

I definitely agree with you on the breakfast. We have been working on expanding breakfast to appeal to all clientele. We are not yet opened a month and trying to find what will work best for us. Your feedback is so important to our case.

Yes, the hotel is located in New York's largest China Town. There is some of the best Asian Cuisine in walking distance. But you are correct. If you did not know that, this may not be the place for you.

I wish we could have helped more with suggesting other things to do in the area. We are located in a great part of Queens. Just one mile in the other direction, and you have some of the best Hispanic eateries. I will be sure that our staff broadens their horizons and learns more of the neighborhood.

Thank you, again! I wish you would give us another shot, but I also understand why you may not. Should you ever come back, please reach out to me personally.

Enjoy your future travels!

Sincerely,
Natalie

I wasn't sure I wanted to stay so far from the city, but the hotel was well priced and turned out to be so easy to get to the city! The train was located just a few blocks away. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was also nice to have a small mall across the street with a Starbucks!

Room Tip: Loved the view from 1004! I could hear the trains, but nothing a pair of earplugs couldn't fix.

Dear Margo,
Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for posting a review! We appreciate your honest feedback. Isn't that view amazing at night?? If I didn't work here all day, I would love to stay on that side of the building.

Thanks for the tip on the train. We were trying to gauge the sound.

Thank you, again! Please reach out the next time you will be in New York.

Sincerely,
Natalie

Pros:
- Clean rooms, sympathetic crew, views from the rooms, 7 train

Cons:
- bad quality of furniture, listen everything from your room (sound isolation is not enough), location from the airport, should provide a shuttle, the area is a bit lost (flushing bro)

Dear Maurice,
Thank you for posting a review! As a brand new property, we appreciate all of the feedback. We were actually already working on a few of your issues listed. We are in the process of securing airport transportation. You are 100% correct that it is a necessity. We are also working on soundproofing the rooms better.

We hope you give us another chance on your next trip to New York! I promise your issues have all been addressed.

Thank you, Maurice!

I was one of the 1st guest to stay at this hotel in it's 1st week open. For the area, it was quite quiet. I have grown up in and around NY and this area has a lot of traffic I really was totally satisfied with my stay. The staff was exceptionally kind. Although there were some holdups with check in, they were very apologetic and got things handled as quickly as possible. The room was comfy as well, although I would have loved to have a microwave!!! I would persosnally like to thank Zoe for her exceptional Customer Service. I hope they keep this place up, because it would be a great place to stay again I am looking forward to the roof top in the upcoming good weather.

Well, my family and I were one of the earliest guests to stay at this hotel. Of course being new, everything was clean (Hopefully they will keep it up). I didn't want to pay the expensive rates other hotels charges just for being in the City. This hotel is only a couple of blocks from the "7" train and was less than 30 minutes train ride away from Times Square. For us, we really liked that it's right in Flushing where Asian cuisine is better than Chinatown. They offered Chinese, Taiwanese and Korean. But not many American food choices which was ok with us. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcomed. The views of the city was amazing (we stayed on the 10th Floor). Overall I would say this hotel is the way to go if you want to be outside of the city and pay a good price for new clean rooms. Also, the restaurants and karaoke bars are always open or stay open very late (I was out until 2am and I can find good food). Must try those food stands on the corners selling Chinese kababs (Delicious and cheap...don't know how clean they are though, but I was fine after)

Here are the only cons I can think of:
1. No swimming pool
2. Shopping was good, but no big designer brands around (they had like Target, BJ's). You will have to go into the city (or the other malls in Queens for that)
3. Rooms were ok size...maybe cause I had my wife and 2 kids with me.
