“Outstanding! Great Tapas and wine.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2014

Wife and I love Tapas and we are always looking for new Tapas restaurants to try. We recently went to a wine tasting event that Spuntino was at showcasing some food and we loved the little portions we tried and promised ourselves we'd go to the restaurant when open.

What a great find!
We went with friends and chose a lot of different types of Tapas off the Menu. My wife's favorite was the polelenta fries and stuff meatballs, though she really liked it all.

I LOVED the seared tuna. It was perfectly balanced and delicious!

The service was excellent, and the staff cared about the experience we were having. Keep in mind that when visiting a good Tapas restaurant, it may seem that portions are cheap but watch how many you order it adds up.

They have a great selection of wine as well.

Overall an Excellent experience and we will be back.

“Food, wine, service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014

This restaurant is drop dead gorgeous. Aesthetically, everything you would hope for in a wine bar and Italian Tapas restaurant. Samantha, the manager, the GM, Andrea Rossi, and wait staff care very much about this restaurant. It shows moment by moment as they hustle to get the job done properly always greeting customers with a smile at every turn. The wine is fabulous. Where can you go and have so many choices by the glass? The bruschetta was fabulous. One with seared rare tuna and one with caramelized onions and goat cheese. The octopus and faro was to die for. The octopus was so tender and flavorful. Lastly, we had a pecorino with truffle cheese, gorgonzola with a fig jam accompanying and porchetta. Go just go!

“A perfect experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2014

We walked into the restaurant on a whim, to try a new place that had opened a few months earlier. We walked out wondering why we waited so long.

The menu had a nice assortment of tapas, all sounding amazing. There were four in our party so we did get to do a lot of sampling. We went through 10 tapas which included carciofo (fried long-stemmed artichoke hearts), speck in carozza (smoked prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, roasted red pepper on rustic bread pan-fried with house-made tomato sauce), and fig and prosciutto pizza (gorganzola, caramelized onion, Portobello and crimini mushrooms, fig jam and Prosciutto di Parma).

As if that were not enough, there was a separate tapas dessert menu. Four of us, so
naturally - four desserts. Nutella pizza (topped with fresh strawberries, mint, pistachios and powdered sugar), ciambelle (homemade doughnuts with two dipping sauces), apple crostata (house-made apple crostada, salted caramel and vanilla gelato) and lavender panna cotta.

Complaints? None from our table!!!

The restaurant boasts over 140 wines on two wine lists – the list on the menu and the reserve list. The restaurant menu list should not be looked at as inferior, it offered a very wide range of wines that would suit anyone. We tried a litre of on-tap wine – a cabernet/merlot blend, and a bottle of a merlot blend – both were enjoyed by all.

My son loves his bourbon and tried a rebel yell cherry manhattan. As good as the food was, he would be happy to just sit at the bar after just one sip.

The dark wood décor did give the feel of a trattoria. What really set the tone was the signage. From the light switch signs in the hostess area to the “wash hands” sign in the rest rooms, all were displayed in English and Italian – .vs. English and Spanish which is seen everywhere else. It did add to the feel that we were not in Kansas anymore.

Our waiter (Dave) made the evening for us. He was very hospitable, welcoming us into what he called “his house”. He had a thorough knowledge of all the food on the menu as well as the wine. He was friendly, joked with us, and was very attentive to detail. We left not as customers but as friends.

I cannot comment on the noise level. We visited with eminent severe thunderstorms and the restaurant was relatively empty.

The only question left unanswered – how soon before we go back.

This is a new restaurant in this area and so far so good. Has lunch last week and had the seared tuna bruschetta and a Caesar salad which were both delicious. the whole menu is exciting and I can't wait to go back for dinner and have the wine. They have 150 selections!!

Our waitress was a bit Quirky but she was friendly.
