Loved this place - not to say that it's a five-star hotel but it's exactly what we wanted as we passed through the area. I have no complaints, and while I normally downgrade hotels that don't offer non-dairy milk, I'll let it slide. Very friendly and attentive staff, beautiful breakfast, stunning setting and backyard (bring a frisbee!) and wonderful lobby area for lounging about. Spacious and comfortable rooms and great natural bath products. And a short and pleasant drive away from the charming town of New Paltz. This place will keep a special place in my travel memories! P.S. Try to get a room facing the back so you have the cliff backdrop and a nice patio.

The staff went above and beyond, the location beautiful and the common room and deck fabulous. Breakfast and snacks way better than typical. Would have preferred a larger bed and a little better soundproofing between floors though. Would definitely return any time in the area.

I just returned from a long weekend at the Minnewaska Lodge with my husband and toddler daughter. We all had a wonderful experience. The view from the back porch is extraordinary and the grounds are spectacular. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and they provided us with a pack n play for our daughter. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, especially given the many needs involved with traveling with a small child. They had a high chair and let us use the main fridge to store milk etc. (We had failed to book a fridge for our room in advance and there were none left when we arrived). A staff member even reached out to friends and family to recruit a babysitter for us when we wanted to go for a night. That was above and beyond! I would highly recommend this place to a friend -- and hope to be able to stay there again.

Spent two days here, would have stayed longer if they weren't booked out. Great rooms, lovely people and in such a beautiful setting. Stayed in king bed room with deck looking over cliff view which was perfect. I unfortunately was pretty ill and they bent over backwards to help giving us a tray of food at 6am so I could take tablets, then giving us more food an hour past breakfast end as we had overslept. Homemade cakes, great breakfast, would come again.

We stayed at Minnewaska Lodge for two nights and we had a lovely time. The lodge is in the most beautiful setting! You should try to get a cliff view room- the view of the cliffs is just spectacular. The grounds are well maintained and have trails that lead right off of them. There is also plenty of hiking, climbing and bicycling in the area very close by.
The lodge serves a delicious breakfast every morning with quiche, cereal, eggs, coffee, juices, different kinds of breakfast cakes and fruits. The staff was also exceptionally kind and willing to spend time talking through any questions we had. Really, just an all around wonderful getaway.
The only reason we can't give it the full five stars is the noise- we could hear our upstairs and next door neighbors really well, and I'm sure they could hear us. We were out and about for most of the day, but at night it was a little noisy.
Don't let that stop you, though! (Just bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper!) The lodge is well worth it!!

Room Tip: Go for a cliff view room!

We came across Minnewaska lodge five years ago, when someone in town mentioned
that they stayed there. We were immediately entranced with the open space, the location
to the gunks, and the delightful customer service, and lowkey but lovely decor.
What we really love is a place that offers tranquility, beauty, and the friendliest most intimate atmosphere and staff - that as seasoned travelers- we haven't seen matched.
So if you are planning a getaway, you want to relax, you want an intimate lowkey
eco friendly experience, there is no other place. ENJOY!
