On our visit to the Finger Lakes, we ate here twice. And we were only in the area for 3 days. We didn't have reservations but the wait was worth it.

Service was wonderful and the food was awesome. The list of specials was long but worth listening to each dish sounded better than the next. We had beef, fish and seafood dishes and they were all delicious. Very fresh and flavorful. And prices very reasonable too.

I'd eat there again tonight but, sadly, we are heading home. Ports is definitely # 1 in my book.

This place was recommended to us by quite a few locals and lived up to what they all said . This is a small 40 _ 50 seat reasturant with a nice atmosphere.the menu has every thing from steak, seafood and pasta.there are always about 10 specials on the entrees alone in addition to the regular menu. The regular menu in its self is great with out the specials.and UN like most places the specials are priced to the regular menu . The food here is great ,fresh and cooked too order.people in our party had the ribs ,steaks, fish ,lamb, and scallops. Also the claim chowder is a must . I would recommend getting reservations do to the popularity and small size.

We were looking for someplace new to go, found a review for Ports Cafe, so thought we'd give it a try. Very rustic looking from the outside; a few tables for outside eating. When you walk in the door it's VERY LOUD! Lots of good conversation and laughing!! Not the place to go if you're looking for quiet and romantic. We were immediately greeted and shown to our table (good idea to make a reservation!). Our waitress, Erica, was fabulous! First thing she said was that she knew it was our first visit b/c we were reading the menu...when we heard the list of specials, we wondered why they even had a menu! So many choices!! We started with crab and corn hush puppies which disappeared as soon as they arrived at the table. Next three of us had cherry salad and one person had the pear salad....very fresh and seasonal. Adults said just enough dressing, children wanted a little more. Two girls ordered bacon wrapped filet mignon....just mouth watering...served with mashed potatoes maybe just even better than mom makes! (One requested it to be cooked medium and it was more on the rare side) One diner had the New Zealand lamb chops, served with the mashed potatoes. Delicious seasoning...requested rare but was more medium, but still delicious. We were all out ordered by the last diner, who ordered the mesquite smoked duck. WOW!!!! Hands-down, best duck we had ever had. It was served with a fruity rice which was a little heavy for the duck (and there was too much of it). And all meals were served with fresh vegetables that maybe needed another minute to cook.....but still were all gone! We just had to have dessert.....we split a Swan (chocolate eclair shaped like a swan) and a chocolate torte. Next time, just have the chocolate torte for dinner. Scrumptious!! We will definitely be back!

Thanks to trip advisor reviewers for recommending this restaurant. The food was very, very good and the service was excellent! I wish I could remember our waitress's name but she did tell us she drives 40 minutes to come to work. My husband had the frisée salad and the filet special. He cleaned his plate! I had the tandoori chicken which was really good but too much food for me. We ordered a bottle of local wine, Revines meritage, which we enjoyed! There were a lot of specials in addition to the menu so there was a lot of items to choose from. As other reviewers satiated, this restaurant is a "gem" that is worth seeking out! Ps... They only serve wine and beer but are in the process of renovating the restaurant to include a bar.

The food was excellent and the service was good. The atmosphere doesn't match the food, and it is very noisy; but I expect we will be back. Maybe in the winter hoping it is less crowded?

Prices were not too bad, but bear in mind there is no salad or bread with the entrees.
