We've spent 5 nights in this little guest house. We must admit that the location was good, close to the center and the supermarket and that the place was ok, nice garden, nice room and quiet. BUT the owners of the guest house were dreadfull: stingy and not nice at all! We've had lot of problems with water (on the island there was water just 2 hours soon in the morning and 2 in the afternoon) because even when there was water, we couldn't take shower: just few drops were falling down and they were always cold. But ok, we were on holiday....we could stand it but we discovered that the owners had water all day because they had a pump for their personal use!! So, no water for the guests and water for local people??? What kind of service is this??? We talk with other tuorists staying in OTHERS guest houses and nobody fetl the water problem...they told us "When there is no water on the island the owner pump it up for us!". But when we tried to discuss about this with Rising sun ownes they got really hungry and denied it. The last night we also had a bad surprise: while one of us was trying to take a shower, the shower glass felt on her. Lukily she was'n hurt! The ownes of the guest house, not only didn't say us "sorry", but he asked us to pay for the broken glass! We are really sorry to leave this bad note, but we've remained too much disappointed with this guest house and we couldn't recomand it to anyone. DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!

Thank you for your review and the time you spent on it. We are happy to see you liked the location and rooms. We are sorry to hear you couldn't enjoy your stay as expected. However, we still remember this incident and like to state the case.

In general guesthouses are unable to offer all the services a hotel does. Therefore guests benefit from a truly heartly welcome and the feeling of getting closer to the island's life and people.

At places with possible long no-rain periods water shortages can occur. Within times of restricted water availability these shortages affect all local households and guesthouses unlike the two bigger hotels which have additional reserve water ressources. We try to compensate with the mentioned pump although it is not perfect.
In the (very rare) case of water shortage we inform every guest via e-mail before arrival so he can decide to stay at another place/ another island, for example.

Unfortunately your rating does not match the review you wrote. You mentioned the nice location and room but gave only one point to these parts.

Concerning payment and fairness:
- We offered you a generous discount on the room rates which you did not accept.
- Please understand we are not at all happy if a guest after staying a few days decides to simply leave without paying anything.

However, we hope you could enjoy the rest of your stay on this beautiful island.
